Here's a vid from last years Lights and Siren parade. The very first car in the vid looks familiar. ;D Of course it might not be recognizeable to some, now that it has new plates and a 1974.5 prototype bumper.

I made it to the show for a few hours; it was a beautiful day - although quite warm. I got to practice shooting the fire hose and dousing the spring-loaded target board. I immediately found Country's blumo and 177ellwood's blumo. 177 was there with his daughter who was a bundle of fun. And I got to meet Nathan, 76bluesmobile, who rode with Ken in Ken's nice 1991 Ford CHP. Here's one cool pushbar. 177ellwood pointed out that the slanted box contained a spike strip that could shoot out to the next lane. Here's the web-site for the manufacturer of the pushbar: www.setina.com/bumpers.php#It doesn't appear that they make the spike-strip shooter. It wouldn't be screen accurate, anyway. I got to cruise with Country Bunker. Here's the view at the starting lineup. Notice the one-hole IPUC; very cool. During the cruise, Nathan was a riot! He was advertising for the show over his load speaker: > Tonight only, the fabulous Blues Brothers. > Rhythm and Blues review. > The Palace Hotel Ballroom. Route 16. Lake Wazzapamani. > The fabulous Blues Brothers show band and review. With the correct inflection and emphasis. It was spot on! Very cool. We had good fun with Country and Nathan taking turns repeating lines from the movie over their respective loud-speakers. Thanks for the invite guys!! I wasn't feel great, and the heat was getting to me, so I left after the cruise, and didn't get a chance to tell Nathan goodbye. But great meeting you, and thanks for the super Beaver Falls Oram donut. 5 and quarter pounds of donut deliciousness. www.orams.com/your friend in occasional gut busters, arthur

Hey all, "The Bluesmobile Paparazzi" as I was named is here! That is funny. I'm not sure how many pics I can post here and since I took well over 200 on Friday, I decided to post a link to the pictures on my Facebook page and members may post their favorites to this thread. I thoroughly enjoyed myself in Michigan and had a great time talking with Chris, Zac and Arthur. You guys are awesome. I look forward to the next event I can attend to see everyone again. Arthur, glad to hear you enjoyed that Oram's donut. The Oram's donut business in Beaver Falls, PA has what can only be considered the best donuts in the United States. Former residents of the area actually have donuts shipped all over the country. I'll be sure to bring a full box to any Blumo event I attend for everyone to either try or enjoy. Here are the pics from Ferndale and the Woodward Parade: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.269307836428182.84833.100000469045908&l=fa89cd29d8&type=1 That was a great day! Nathan

The day was fantastic. Glad you guys like the pics. No copyright - share them, use them however you want.
I gotta offer thanks to Ken Dunn (91 CHP Ford) for sharing a very, very long day. He drives semi-truck over the road and didn't return home until after midnight, got up a few hours later, we drove 4 1/2 hours to Ferndale, stayed for about 8 hours, then drove 5 hours home (stopped a few extra times to stretch). I slept about the same. He's got this week off so he went camping with his family to recover.
Now that I've met a few of my fellow brothers in blues, CEVS will be the time to meet the rest of you. We've got a year to plan. I'll keep my eyes open down the road for another future Blumo. Chris, Zac and Arthur reminded me how much fun these cars are.
