Here's the Rolls before the stunt Nice! I didn't know Tommy did this stunt at night. Nowhere in the article does it mention being at night which obviously added to the danger factor. In the news story, Charlie Picerni said Tommy was "lucky to be alive" and that's probably an accurate statement Cripes it sounds like he was near to possibly drowning. I know the name Charlie Picerni from the original Starsky & Hutch television show. He was the stunt co-ordinator and looked a lot like Paul Michael Glaser. Charlie also worked on The Blues Brothers. And here's a bit of trivia - The makeup artist on 63 episodes of Starsky & Hutch was Layne "Shotgun" Britton, who was the makeup artist on The Blues Brothers and was in the movie, "Did you get me my cheese whiz, Boy?" - www.imdb.com/name/nm0110204/Haha, as Arthur points out is actually a can of Nabisco Snack Mate, Cheddar flavor ... - bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1122/cheese-whiz-easy-snack-mate

The first times that Eddy and Tommy might have worked together would have been on tv in 1968 and 1969 on "The Wild Wild West," which ran on CBS for 4 seasons from 1965 - 1969. Tommy is listed as being in 17 episodes as a "Henchman, Hooded Attacker" etc., and Eddy is listed in 4 episodes as a "Henchman, Gunsel, Workman." - www.imdb.com/title/tt0058855/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_24Stunt credits were basically non existent back then and I'm sure Eddy and Tommy wound up on more than a few sets together in the early 70's, but using the IMDb as a guide the first movie we see their names together in the credits is the 1974 blaxplotation movie, "Black Samson." This movie was directed by Charles Bail (who also directed The Gumball Rally) and he chose Eddy Donno as his stunt co-ordinator. Most of the stunt guys had bit parts like Charlie Picerni and Tommy Huff as "Nappa's Gang" and Terry Leonard and Bob Minor as "Samson's Street People." - www.imdb.com/title/tt0071226/Here's the trailer ... Johnny Nappa is NOT a sweet guy, lol ... - www.coolasscinema.com/2013/01/black-samson-1974-review.html- www.blaxploitationpride.org/2011/06/black-samson-1974.html

After Black Samson, the next movie we see with Tommy and Eddy is Big Bad Mama. Produced by Roger Corman and released in 1974, it starred Angie Dickinson and William Shatner. - www.imdb.com/title/tt0071216/- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bad_Mama- Set in 1932, then they'd be doing stunts with cars that were over 40 years old at the time. Here's the trailer ... - Here's the entire movie ... - You'll notice in the closing credits that Eddy was the "ACTION COORDINATOR" although the imagery at that time in the credits does not truly represent the action that Eddy coordinated lol, well maybe but I think it was more the car stunts and stuff. The IMDb credits, for stunts in this movie, only list the 3 main performers which were Eddy, Tommy, and Charlie Picerni.

- After Big Bad Mama the next movie with Tommy and Eddy in the credits was Freebie and the Bean. Excellent, funny movie, James Caan and Alan Arkin. I couldn't see this movie in 1974 because it was restricted, I was 11. I saw Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (with adult accompaniment) and Gone in 60 Seconds at the theater in the summer of 1974 but I couldn't see Freebie and the Bean. There were spectacular stunt sequences in this movie. The stunt co-ordinator is Charles (Chuck) Bail who was the director of Black Samson mentioned a few posts up. "This is helmet time" lol This chase, I would consider to be the most underrated chase in movie history. It never makes the top-10 lists. I hardly ever see it on any of the top-10, top-20 what have ya. It's a fantastic chase sequence and yeah same make and model as Gator in White Lightning wouldn't ya say? Another Ford cop car takes a beating, another incredible scene from this movie. In his career Tommy Huff became the go-to guy for truck stunts and rig stunts ... I'd bet a tallboy of beer that Tommy is at the wheel for the truck crash at the end of this clip ... So, according to the credits, Evel Knievel worked on this movie ... He might have just done the jumps in this next clip, I'm not sure if he doubled James Caan for the whole chase. To me, at times, the James Caan double looks a lot like Dar Robinson, and Dar was indeed active at this time and was excellent with a bike ... but he's not in the credits. Which is weird, it looks so much like Dar riding over the cars in the first 30 seconds. Maybe it is Evel the whole way? And a couple of small parts for Tommy and Eddy ... - - www.imdb.com/title/tt0071521/- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freebie_and_the_Bean- www.imcdb.org/movie_71521-Freebie-and-the-Bean.html

^ Good stuff! I suppose this is Lizard Tongue (Tommy Huff) here ... I'm not 100% sure about that, though, it might change its trailer during the final sequence? Where is the part where that truck does some damage? --- And this ...

- Pics of the Lizard Tongue truck from the link posted by 58 and the IMCDb. 1971 Kenworth K-123 It was at the carnage but doesn't get any real screen time (BRUHN) ... At the end of the movie he's behind the lead truck and maybe sporting some stack damage? "Thomas" in the credits ...

- Well I found out just today that Eddy Donno passed away in his sleep only 8 days after the crash that killed Gary McLarty and Bob Orrison. Eddy was 79, had a long career. So the team of Donno and Huff is together again. RIP guys, thanks for the mayhem. --- ^ Episode begins at 1:15
