Those were made from screen grabs, and the same screens I used by the looks of it. Only it looks like he didn't fix the perspective on his cause the Police 17? and phone number are still slanted.

- I remembered where I'd seen this one before. It was posted in the "Bluesmobiles on Youtube" thread ...

That's my ride! In pure Elwood fashion -- I traded an iPad for the car back in July. I have done so much work to it over the past 6 or so months. It was on the local Craigslist forever (it was green with a green vinyl top and had gangster wheels) and it was pretty well beat. Runs pretty good now (as seen in the Youtube clip haha!) Still could use some work though.
And spanks79 is right! I bought the window and full trunk carpet from the guy with all the Pontiacs in mid-Ohio. Guy and his dad had a really nice collection of cars and gas stuff. They have killed probably 3 dozen c-bodies for derbying though :/

- Hey driftlee, welcome! (it was green with a green vinyl top and had gangster wheels) Ahhh yes. This one ... - bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/115/1976-gran-fury-ohioLooks a lot better now. Have you been getting any serious inquiries about the car? There's so few '74 Monaco's popping up now, I think 2013 has been one of the drier years we've seen. We're going to have to start pilgrimages to obscure junkyards to find them.

Thanks for the kind words and warm welcomes! You guys have one of the most organized boards I have ever been on!
I have had two serious buyers call about it. Both guys are big fans, so I told them I'd take $3200 for the car. I have nearly $1800 in it not including the hours it took to scrape the glue off the roof, sand & fill the body, and paint..and mechanicals lol.
The one guy has a '65 Imperial he's interested in trading for it -- we're (hopefully) going to meet up this Saturday to check each other's rides out, but it is really cold here so I'm not sure if we'll go through with it. The '74s are really getting tough to find -- I found this junk yard not too terribly far from me that has a lot of older cars (they had THREE 71' Chargers stacked on top of each other, yikes!), but they only had two C-bodies and they were both 76' New Yorkers.

Good luck on the sale. If you decide to keep it you should put together a build thread of your paint process and decals. I'm hoping to make it up to see Steve this weekend, but it is suppose to be damn cold. Not the best weather for gutting the interior out of a Monaco.

I took a few pictures along the process, so I'll have to post those too. It took me three hours to get up to Steve's, his house is WAY back down the road. It was mid 20s when I went and it was unpleasant then...and I was just grabbing the already-pulled window haha! I have been wanting to put the window actually in the car, but we keep getting an inch or two of snow every few days and I haven't been able to make it over where I have some of my cars stored Good luck pulling the interior -- it is in super nice shape and has a killer steering wheel too.

You guys have one of the most organized boards I have ever been on! Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes its hard to know how to best organize things, so it's good to know that you found the setup appealing. Set-up and the way members reference topics and posts -- you guys probably aced all your bibliography pages with the uber-neat way you cite info It's nice to see that as some forums I've been on need translators....for the English speakers!

Yeap! On the eBay now! Window is FINALLY in too! I really want to get $3400-$3600 out of it but may be willing to negotiate if a member on here wanted it.
