- Well thanks for saving the ol' girl, thus far. Nose is definitely useable, front bumper is nice, if it comes to that. Kinda figured that would be the plan. The '74 nose and bumper on the rust-free '77 body immediately puts your Blumo into the multiple thousand$ range, based on what we've seen, as you've seen yourself in these for sale threads. You're becoming King of the Blumo's 'round here.

Last night I pushed HOB #3 behind my garage and put a tarp over the roof to keep the winter shit out of it, we are having a big snow storm, ice, sleet and all of that fun stuff today which will probably trap the car back there. In the spring I'm going to try and fire the old girl up and drive it back around to the front of the garage and see what I can do with her. It's a hard one to part out, I'd assume there weren't that many original HOB cars built. Even if I just glassed over the rot in the firewall or did a decent metal patch job I doubt it would come back apart any time soon since it more than likely will live indoors the rest of it's life. On a positive note, it does have brakes. In the mean time I have some serious personal shit going on and some financial recovering to do but I am going to keep my eyes open for a parts car, either a Plymouth or Dodge 4 door sedan that I can pirate some shit from for this car and my others, hopefully I find one with a decent roof.

I don't think it has been mentioned yet that the Myrtle Beach car was originally the Cambridge MA. car and is the first Bluesmobile used at the first HOB. When the Cambridge HOB closed its doors, the car was moved to Myrtle Beach. Here is a shot of Matt "Guitar" Murphy while performing at the original House of Blues for its fifth anniversary, on Nov 20 1997. That is the same car which is behind him. Attachments:

Oh wow, thanks for the info. Robert Simeone the GM from Myrtle Beach HOB told me they drove the car down from Mass in '04 but I assumed it was where it was bought or something. Anyone with more info on it that they could tell me it would be appreciated or anything about HOB cars and Rick Shields, I know very little on the subject.

I've done some googling and there are a lot of pictures of this car on various sites and in people vacation albums but aside from tk's pic with Matt Murphy I can only seem to find pictures of this car in fair to poor condition at the Myrtle Beach HOB, none of it's early years when it still had the P1 on the rear doors when it was in MA. Does anyone have any pics from the Cambridge HOB?

Does anyone have any pics from the Cambridge HOB? This pic was posted at BBC and was apparently taken sometime in 2003 ... Same ol' whitewall tire ...

And the same red paint showing thru on the RR door. This pic was Myrtle Beach, are you sure it was '03? The GM of Myrtle Beach HOB said they got the car in '04.

Maybe the guy was wrong about the year the car came down to SC, Cambridge closed in '03 so it'd make sense that the car was brought to SC in '03.

So I have a guy who wanted a price on buying this car, he's never heard of the House of Blues but wants a Bluesmobile. He also may have located a '77 Monaco (hopefully a Royal)that a tree fell on and crushed the rear deck lid and they can't find the title for with a good roof. What do you guys think is a fair (to me too) price for this car with it's history and all? If not hopefully I can buy the parts car if nothing else.

Are you going to take the '74 bumper for yours?

Are you going to take the '74 bumper for yours? I've been strongly considering it. He hasn't even seen the car yet, I just showed him pics on my phone. He saw mine when it was still brown and original and wanted to buy that one back then and I wouldn't sell it, I saw him the other day and mentioned the HOB car (not to sell it, just conversation) and he asked about me selling it and I said I'd have to think about it and to come see it first, that's as far as it's gotten.
