Here's the image; note that the paint underneath is still somewhat glossy and intact. This is the reason that I chose a gloss paint scheme for my car instead of a flat one. I like to think of it as bits of the gem that the car truly is shining through.

Yep, thats my experience. Just do nothing, I was also told that gloss from a spray can wont be as glossy as one is afraid of, it will fade, sun will help, and sure go find dirt, drive it in a slightly rainy day, tuck back away and do nothing, it will begin to cake on and get that look, however one chooses to describe it, but movie look is one way of saying it!

I always looked at it this way, the car was 6 years old when the movie was released, it would look neglected and dirty but the paint would still have a decent shine to it.
