I think I saw that car in Florida at the DeLorean show in Orlando.

I think I saw that car in Florida I'm not 100% certain about this but I believe there's 2 actual movie Christine's out there and one of them is in Florida. This one for sale is in California which is where the Martin Sanchez car resides. So I'm speculating it's that one.

The one I saw in Florida was one of the movie cars; they had photos, props, and a veritable book of information about its restoration and use. What stuck out in my mind was how obnoxiously dark the window tint is and how hard it would be to drive a car like that.

After a little checking it seems there are 4 Christine's around. 3 were true survivors and one was a salvage rescue. One of the survivors was sold by the Volo museum with a price tag of $169,998 and I'm not sure where that one is today. It might have made it to California and could be the one currently for sale. - One was a promo car and sold in 2004 through Barret-Jackson for $167,400 and went to the UK. - The Florida one was used in the chase of Buddy's Camaro ... But it's not the one that actually crashes into the Camaro ... The heavy tint was used to hide the stunt driver. It's owned by Bill Gibson. www.christinecarclub.com/MR-BillGibson.htmlHere's a different pic of what is purportedly the same car, but without the tint. Maybe the tint was of the stick-on/peel-off variety like the "insta cling" product? The link below the pic says it's Bill Gibson's car so I'm not sure what's up with the tint. 57and58plymouth1.homestead.com/Christine2.html- And the salvaged one is the Martin Sanchez car in California which was used in the Moochie chase scene and could possibly be the one for sale. - I did send an e-mail to the craigslist seller, maybe he'll reply but I kinda doubt it because I didn't want to portray myself as a serious buyer. I asked if it was the salvaged and restored car we see in the Moochie scene. If anyone has any extra info or corrections, please post.

I have spoken to Bill Gibson and have seen his car in person, it's the only one with a full correct movie interior. I'm pretty sure his was the "salvage" one, built out of several cars that were wrecked during the filming of the movie. Last I knew it had a Dodge engine in it and he had a 350 GC for it. His is believed to be the one that hit the Camaro. The interior was out of a different car. The Moochie chase car was the only stick shift car used in the movie so if the car for sale is a 3 on the tree then it's the chase car.

His is believed to be the one that hit the Camaro. It sounds like that is indeed accurate. One of the links I read mentioned the 3 survivors were "pristine" so I assumed they used different cars for the Camaro hit but this article here suggests Bill's car did hit the Camaro. He mentions what it was like when he got it ... www.autotraderclassics.com/car-article/Christine%27s+Killer+Plymouths-61871.xhtmlAlso in that article, and mentioned in other links is that the Sanchez car was definitely a wreck (not considered a survivor) when he got it and pieced it back together with parts from Bill and Ed's Auto Wrecking in Fontana, California. That's where the movie cars wound up. These pics are from 1983 ... www.forwardlook.net/features/billandeds.htmMakes it easier to believe that the Blumo's and Royal Monaco's from The Blues Brothers all met a similar fate. Insurance purposes typically would not allow a resale on damaged movie cars. And yeah, you're right on about the Moochie car being the only standard transmission. So if the craigslist car is standard it's gotta be the Sanchez car, if it's auto then it stands to reason it must be the Volo car. OR ... another crazy scam? Been quite the month for Christine around here, lol.

- Another 1958 Golden Commando. I don't think we've seen this one in this thread yet, with the 383 dual quad ... I believe Adam mentioned the V in the grille should be silver. Is that right? Other than that does it appear to be the real deal? Either the seller is wrong or the engine is wrong, the 350 B-motor was the biggest available in the Plymouth in '58 and the 383 wasn't even made yet until '59, and yes Furys had silver anodized V's in their grilles, gold V's came in all other V8 models with regular silver grilles.
