I always figured the 'correct' spelling should be "Blusmo", but "Blumo" just sounds 'cleaner'. ;D

Anybody? Hey you old timers. Steam, when did you first hear the word blumo? On BBC? An interview with Dan Aykroyd? On a written note from Bill Gates?

I don't recall ever actually hearing Dan say the word Blumo, but I do recall seeing it as a quote from Dan in a print article and I'm pretty sure it was Blumo. But that's just how the writer interpreted it. After seeing what Elwood himself wrote on TI's dash I'll probably go with capital B, hyphen, small m ... Blu-mo, from now on. I wonder if Dan started writing it that way after the introduction of Blu-ray?

^ lol Dan ... is ... my ... lea ... der ... must ... o ... bey ... Dan ;D I think we'll rib you a bit about blu-mo, Steam, but the spirit of the blues works in mysterious ways, and if you want to use it, that's great. To me, "blu-mo" is a special word to be used mainly by Dan and those he awards it to (like TI4438). So I'll keep using blumo, but I respect and appreciate the Dan / Elwood approved "blu-mo".

I don't care who said it first - it still annoys me.

I don't care who said it first - it still annoys me. Ahh, any shortened nickname instead of the full and complete "bluesmobile" annoys you. I can respect that. And there are always these reference options: - Black and white 1974 Dodge sedan with Illinois plates - shit-box Dodge - 1974 Dodge sedan

(Probably because whenever I read them, I hear them in my mind as they were spoken in the movie. ), but "Blumo" just.....irkes me. There's a lot of other things involving words - and the abuse of words - that irk me as well, but that's for another thread. ;D

I feel weird writing it with a hyphen. I can't take it anymore, I can't do it. Sig was right, he knew it'd get into my brain like that Hitchcock movie. Movie car = Bluesmobile Other = Blumo (as per for reference only) [Just my own personal thing until Dan signs my Sunfire, "Nice Blu-Mo"] Heh, as if I have mild OCD by the way. Maybe, I'm not sure. For a long time when I parked the car the radio had to be on the same station when I turned the car off. I can leave it on a different station now when I turn the car off but I think about it lol.
