- Two 1974 Monaco's in this video. The Lapeer County clone we've seen before in the Sightings thread, and the bottom one in the pic was a lucky find by the host of the show! He's Australian, loves The Blues Brothers and the Bluesmobile, and that car was bought in the US and is now in Australia. He says that the guy he bought it from purchased it in 2013 and parked it. I was thinking it looked like Jenny's sedan she had for a bit. I looked through the old threads and she did indeed sell hers in 2013 ... but it's not the same car lol. Jenny's didn't have the vinyl roof and it was actually Bill who bought that one and turned it into a very nice Blumo. Here's the show ... Here's the facebook page for the show ... www.facebook.com/ClassicRestosTV/

- BB2000 Blumo sighting on daTube, apparently the car has been in Arizona. Seller says it's a '91 but lens under the headlights aren't clear. Says it's not a "P71" and also mentions it's a factory dual exhaust car. There was at least one tribute band in Arizona, they have a Gran Fury ... - www.azbluescompany.com/Maybe this Vic was one of their early cars ? Here's the vid, walk-around of the car starts at the 4:44 mark ...

Neat car for FREE plus $31 in fuel. Even in video he states tried to watch the movie and movie cars have door stickers that are all scratched up. (still have #43 video up on you tube to compare ) Quarter graphics lettering too small on his.
Notes:
Car had optional trim along hood and front fenders below windshield. Right fender had optional p74 luxury package corner light. Driver door from earlier version mated with newer dash. (I have done this in past, so if it has roll ups he would need to open door to raise or lower glass.) Movie car fenders had a black out plates for antenna, this car has antenna. Interior seats appear to be from p74 package. Car has optional factory bumper guards front/rear. Added police antenna on rear trunk. Has dual spot lamps As noted in video no "prisoner partition." Guards look very close, but not the same as movie cars.
Per video plans to show at car shows, so hopefully we will see more pics in Blues mobile sightings.
Note All Crown Victoria's were assembled in Canada even for US did not see cluster, or hear run, so the Canadian only versions would have metric primary gauge clusters(all) with day time running lights(civilian models).
St. Thomas Ontario Canada is town where assembly plant was located.
bluesmobile.info/worldwide/Ford%20Crown%20Victoria/page1/images/2.jpeg link to Rick Sheild's movie replica ( I added link to see similar not exact version of car.)
Regarding a history of promotional movie cars for second movie I can not comment. I hear that #46 and #42 were beauty cars for that purpose back then.

^ Ha, the new owner of the Crown Vic in Arizona "tried" to watch BB2K. I've tried and been successful many times (which is probably how I know that 1445 is on the wrong side of the trunklid on his car). He also asks, "Who (would make) a Blues Brothers 2000 movie car?" Well, DaBluesGarage (in-service version), Blues_car_show.jpgBismo (car sold to Christine58 in UK), SOLD - BLUES2 For Sale | BluesmobilesBlues Brothers Next Generation (car for sale or sold), PHOTOSSteve Dodd (thanks DaBluesGarage for reminding me) Florida Blues Brothers, Florida Blues Brothers - Photos | FacebookPhil the Frenchy (France), My Bluesmobile 2000 | SuperMotors.netMr. & Mrs. Blues (Sweden), bluesmobile.infoSomebody in Germany, Bluesmobile 2000... and a couple of others I've seen on eBay. One had custom graphics to promote the owner's business. Another was painted with the number 1786 rather than 1445 due to copyright concerns.

I think Huey had a film-used BB2K CVPI at one time...I saw it when I bought my '75 Monaco from him, when he lived in Florida.

The most notable copy I would like to ad is found in the police car restoration book by Ed Sanow. In it (Steve Dodd) name from book travels to Universal down in Florida and spends many hours copying the graphics from movie car #71. Last I heard that car (replica signed by D.A.) is still up in Wisconsin. His graphics are painted on.
Another note the Texas Art Car Parade BB2k crown vic. And lets not forget

& Hopefully More to Come....

Welcome
I really appreciate the time dedication effort travel he put into it, and at a time when the graphics were relatively fresh on #71.
since this is a you tube thread here is a link (not mine to 2008 EVOC course) the restored version car. note wig wags & #66 in back ground.
Another view from inside the gate. This replica was done on a former Coral Gables Florida city police car unit 289.
On this ooold video from 2010 the line up of cars shows #66 very far end, Steve's next, pair of LAPD cars, Six Monaco's and a Mayberry Ford in movie car row.

^ That's good stuff, a good interview with some Blumo clips in Chicago what's not to like . Travis sold that Blumo to the "Speed Nuts" in Japan a long time ago. They have since sold it, I believe not all that long ago, and I have no idea if it's still in Japan at this time. ----- This one, not a Blumo but it sure could be, might be somewhere in Turkey. The comments translate to Turkish ...

- Summernats in Australia has become a huge event, they just had Summernats 33 and every single year since 1987 the festival is in Canberra. Cars. Lots of cars, 4 days, burnouts, parades, concerts. I've read there were 2,000 cars there this year. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SummernatsA page or two back I posted a vid from Summernats 32 of an Aussie Blumo, a Chrysler Valiant, doing tire shredding burnouts and donuts. Here it is again this year. the first minute is quite funny from this angle as the Blumo is shredding its way down the track and with the breeze the thick cloud of smoke is staying perfectly with it, you can't see the car at all lol. But it comes roaring back up the track and right at the moment when the final donut is finished and the accelerator is released, the rear tire sends a chunk of hot burning rubber ceremoniously into the crowd lol just kidding. It may only be 240p but I watched that a few times and I don't think that piece of rubber actually makes it into the crowd. Someone would've thrown it back at them . The rubber does fly though, mates. The first car here sends bits of hot rubber that's sticking to the camera lens filming it ! After the first car this vid becomes more of a compilation, lots of different cars, different smoke, some cars catch fire lol. You can already buy tickets for next years event January 7-10, 2021. www.summernats.com.au/
