Hi folks. After being a BB fan for years I've only just stumbled on this site while looking for a Monaco! I'm from UK so obviously it's going to be a bit more tricky for me. My main thing is my 1990 365hp mk3 Supra, events club organiser over at www.mkiiisupra.net. That's my show car that I miss driving everyday sooooo...... A few weeks ago I bought a very cheap supra as a daily and for a laugh painted it black and white of course Decals are on there way BUT it's not going to be a Bluesmobile replica because obviously it's not a Monoco so instead it's going to have some random things on it from a UK group called The KLF who used a 1968 Police Ford Galaxie in their videos! So while all that's going on I've decided to hunt for a real 1974 Monaco replica or not I'll do it myself so if anyone here's of any shippable to the UK then give me a shout! I've already been quoted £5600 to buy and ship the blue Hardtop thats been mentioned on here but it does look a bit of a state. Anyway, great forum! I'll stop waffling and get looking in the for sale section!!! Ben

Hello, I used an shipping agent guy to get my Monaco's paperwork done(there's that title issue which has to be done by a licensed car dealer or something like that) + shipped to Finland. He also contacted the seller and handled the payment in US. Container ride was about 1500usd + agent's fee 500 and about 1$/mile for land transport. This happened in 2012 btw.
And welcome.

Oh there was the pound sign. So 5600*1,5 = 8500$ -3500$ = 4900$ for transport(less than 500miles to nearest port) which is way too much. Unless it has the UK's 20% VAT and 10% possible custom's fees included.

Well that was our wedding and his car blew up a few weeks before hence looked for a replacement. We had to settle for some black and white 1979 Ford cop cart we found last minute. Ant still did the blues brothers gig though which was good and he brought KITT along so all ok in the end. Though I would've loved a Monaco wedding car . I see he's been a bit naughty though saying his in the film. He filled me too saying he had the paperwork from universal. Hopefully Sent from my phone

Only actual modifications I had to do here were to get rid of the sealed beam headlights & change the front turn signal/parking light bulbs to white. The cheapest 5,75" h4's fitted right in to the outer lights and the high beam works from the floor pedal too(I've got the inner lights disconnected). It still needs a relay somewhere there, because the light switch tends to overheat with the h4's. And hit the vin code to the frame, finland doesn't accept the window vin.

Hi Ben Thanks for joining. I hope we can help you find what you're looking for. * Do you know if Ant's car was ever recovered?

I don't think so. I might call him actually as he still owes me a favour for the car drying 2 weeks before or wedding . Not his fault though I guess and we did have a cool BB themed wedding Hopefully Sent from my phone
