Awesome stuff, Adam. I'm sure you get bombarded with the Christine stuff all the time. Sorry to perpetuate that but I had to ask, lol. So I merged your fleet together here so folks can see all in one thread. I added (*fleet pics) to the title of this thread so it will always get interest. If you're thinking, "bull-shit that sucks don't **** with my thread, dude" well ... I can see that lol. You can change the thread title to anything you want.

This is my '00 Crown Vic daily driver, 68,000 miles, it spent the first 10 years of it's life at a CT correctional facility. Attachments:

Welcome! We are glad to have you here. You have quiet a fleet of inteesting cars and have owned some nice ones as well. I have had a few police cars myself. I also had a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere factory red with white top like Christine, she had a 318. Beautiful car, sucks that I had to sell her. So am I understanding you correctly, you want to restore an original police car back into a police car? decals lightbar and all?

No, they used to be fairly reasonable considering their rarity but 3 went on Barrett Jackson in the last few years for over $100,000 and that just drove the prices up. Ahhhh, I remember years ago thinking an amphicar would be a fun car to have, and even started checking on prices and didn't think they were too bad. And recently, on the same "Final Offer" show that had the Blues Brothers props bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bbprops&action=display&thread=1047a guy had an amphicar for sale and wanted $75K and I thought he was nuts: but maybe prices have just gone that high. Amphicar rocks! I thought I posted something earlier, but I must have just done "preview" and not actually posted it.

That Fury is great, you don't often see a real '58 Fury hot rodded, let alone with a 426 Hemi. Neat collection.

Thanks all, and yes Jenny, I want to restore/preserve a real police car but keep the lights and decal removable for driving, the cops around here don't even like people driving old crown vics, they'd have a field day with a car with lights and markings on it no matter how old.

Even though I've been on here a while since the are my fleet pics I guess I should add my '75 Gran Fury on here since it doesn't have it's own build thread yet. These are the best pics of have of it before it was taken apart, these are when it was coming from a field in California where it sat since retirement in 1978. Attachments:

Here's a pic of my '58 Fury, amazingly it is NOT a Christine clone. It's an original Fury (one of 66 known to exist), it has a '68 426 Hemi, 4 speed and a 4:10 Dana 60. Welcome! (I'm going backwards...I read a ton of other threads, and just got to this one.) Wow, am I late to the party on this...but, it wasn't my fault I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!... Anyway, I love all of your cars, but I quoted this post specifically, due to a question I have: Has the Fury ever been used as a model for a die-cast, or featured in a magazine? The reason I ask is that I swear I've seen it before, I just can't remember where... ....also, is it as fast as I think it is?

Thanks! Many magazines (about 7 or 8, I think), was on ESPN2 with Don Garlits many years ago, I can't remember the name of the show, and pictures of it are all over the internet, plus many shows. The car ran 12.4 sec ET's at 110 MPH with traction issues, tubbed it easily run in the 11's(but she'll never be tubbed!)
