I can't really tell or find a clear enough picture, but does the chrome trim go down between the windows on the Bluesmobile or is that painted white? (i mean the actual bluesmobile, not monacos in general) (I'm changing the title cause I'm looking for other reference pics if anyone's got 'em) Attachments:

So that part is never chrome? In those pictures it looks like its about 1/2 as thin as the Bluesmobile. Is this because it's a 76 or the lighting? The reason I'm asking is because I'm taking advice from my teacher and modeling a new Bluesmobile that is as close to 100% as possible, meaning everything that can be removed from a real car would be modeled as a separate object and added to the car as it would in real life.
This did shed some new light though, I didn't know bout the one on the back of the hood and the front of the door, thank you.

Hi flcl: No part of the b-pillar ever had chrome on it. The upper part is the same 74-77. It's actually quite thick, but a lot of it is hidden by the front and rear doors when they are closed. Here's a pic of the upper portion of the b-pillar from my Fury (now the main display case in the Monaco Museum of Amazement): Here's a pic of my 76 parts car, showing how it looks with the doors closed: and the front door open: The lower interior portion of the b-pillar changed slightly throughout 74-77 (for different seat belt mounting), but the upper portion stayed the same best I can tell (which makes sense since the doors interchange). your friend in monaco dimension accuracy, arthur

So is the thread about Monaco trim gone? I can't find it and the link is broken. Anyone know if it would be correct to have side trim (minus front doors) on a 74 Texas police Monaco? like this

^ I don't know if they ever had a 1974 Dodge Monaco police car in Texas? I can't find a pic of one. But to have trim delete on the front doors is not uncommon and I just made up that "trim delete" phrase, I'm not sure if that's how it was referred to. Lol, sounds plausible, though. Is that what it was called? Maybe I read that somewhere ...

I can't really find an example of one either, but it seems like it wouldn't be too far from possible since Monacos and Furys were basically the crown vics of the 70's. I'm finding very few 74's with the spear side trim, let alone with the "trim delete"
We could start a thing by calling it that. It sounds like one of those things that doesn't have a name yet. Trim delete. lol

Does anyone have pictures of the rear corner tips plus the rear plastic crush fillers? Separate from the car and/or how they attach to each other?
*reference for the 3d model*

All of my bumper gap fillers are currently off of my car and I have extra quarter panel extensions laying around. I could take pics tomorrow but I'm still having trouble posting pics.

The rear bumper fillers have studs and are held on with nuts inside the trunk and are also screwed to the bottom of the quarter panel extension. The front ones are held to fender with screws...hope this helps. Tony

Question: What is the difference between the 74 Sedan and the 74 Custom Monaco?
Are Monaco's just stamped custom if they had something non-standard added like a trim option?
