Wow, hopefully they find it, and the publicity on it helps their auction: -----------------
The Blues Brothers chair, inspired by the beach scene in the movie filmed in Wauconda, symbolized an historical event for the village, Christians said.
The chair, which cost $250, was to be auctioned off with the other 14 chairs on Sept. 6 at the farmers market in Wauconda.

Nice. There is even a photo of its recovery: I find this photo a bit humorous. It's like even the Blues Brothers chair is running from the police. 654 members in the "missing chair" Facebook group I may have to go visit this now famous work of art. Here are the rest of the Main Street chairs: wauconda-il.gov/art-on-main-street/They are lining the sidewalks of the same stretch of street that is shown in the film.

I guess we'll never know if it was all a setup. But glad they got it back. It seems I've been out of the chair-buying business too long. > The chairs, which cost $250, will be auctioned off Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. > at the farmers market in Wauconda. > ... > Residents said local businesses were offering a $500 reward for the > chair. > ... > “There’s going to be a fierce competition to bid on that chair.” www.dailyherald.com/article/20120619/news/706199735/
