[Shakes Etch-A-Sketch] Got a new theory... Illinois license plate? Looking through the cc.com archives, this is the closest IL car that I have found so far: Naperville, 1980 I posted the photos over there. Maybe one of them will recognize it. .

TK, are you saying that this car: is the same as this car It looks like it could be the same; I'm just trying to catch up to your line of thinking.

I believe it is a '76 base model. Hidden headlights, but with a non-lighted fuel access door. It also does not have rear bumper guards. I'll work through the math, and get the same idea. Based on hidden headlights, we have 75-77 Based on no rear bumper rubber tips, we have 74-76 Based on non-lighted fuel access door and regular rear turn signal lenses we have non-Brougham So its a 75-76 non-brougham with hideaway headlights. So that means its a 75 custom, or 76 base, cop, or custom. It could be a custom, but that would be seem weird for a police agency. So if its not a custom, that leaves 76 base or 76 cop.

Is this really a Dan Aykroyd scouted prototype blumo? Just for reference ... here's a pic from the Rocklin scouting mission. Dan is the guy on the right in the white shirt, with the short sleeves. ;D

Right. The true story is that TK826 thought the mystery Monaco could be a "Rocklin County, CA" police car, and Steam found an old photo of a Rocklin County car and posted it just for reference showing the star. The joking story is: Steam said that it was Dan Aykroyd on the right. I'm continuing the joking story by saying that Steam posted a fake photo. Here is the original, clearly showing that Dan and John were scouting Rocklin County for the prototype blumo:
