Any recognize these police markings? It looks like it has vent windows. The 74 New York State Police had vent-windows but the livery is strikingly different.

As most here may know, that photo was taken by D.Aykroyd while scouting ideas on what type of car to use for the BluMo.
I believe it is a Rocklin County, New York Police car. Rocklin County is just NW of NYC.

Is there a source for that, or link on BBC? I believe it is a Rocklin County, New York Police car. Rocklin County is just NW of NYC. Ahh, that makes sense about the vent windows. I guess they piggybacked on the larger NY State order, similar to how we think my Marin County was piggybacked on the larger CHP order. Thanks! /arthur

Is there a source for that, or link on BBC? Is this really a Dan Aykroyd scouted prototype blumo? Why would most people think this? April Fools? BBC? Behind-the-scenes on a DVD? Is there a secret club I can join to find out more? your friend in all things blumo, arthur

Performs secret handshake.
The photo was originally posted back on the other message board, when I asked Robert K Weiss about any surviving Bluesmobiles.
On a side note...
With all the "upgrades" that were performed over there, the search function sucks just as much as always. I literally searched for an hour for the thread that he was posting in... with no results. It seems the whole system over there is screwed up. For example, when I do a simple search for my own posts, it states that I have a little over 50 posts.
"RKWeiss" has 14 posts but the system can only find one of them.
Anyway... I did save his comments in my own notes at the time:

Just anybody can stroll right into the bluesmobile scout photo archives these day's... haha heehhee, I think I got lucky. I heard Tuesdays were easy-in days, while all other days required one round of the paddle, except for "Thrashin' Thursdays" which required two paddles.

TK, what makes you think it is Rockland county car?
A sheriff's car, like Marin County?
Here's a modern day Rockland paint scheme:

It's been a while but let me do some checking. The photo I found of an identically painted '74 Monaco was labeled: Then, while researching "Rocklin" and "New York", I found this: www.mtstars.com/gab-rocklin-county-NY-armed-gunman-56155.htmlListing "Rocklin County, NY" Then... I must have confused Rocklin/Rockland on the NY county map, because now I'm not seeing a "Rocklin" in NY. I'll see if I can go find the website that I originally found the image on.

Great photo and reference, TK.
I'm not sure it's the same agency:
But it's interesting looking at these old cop car pics. The next time one of you guys is partying with Dan, see if you can ask him about it.

Is the car in the above photo a Royal Monaco? Looks like a turn signal on the front of the fender to me.

I believe it is a '76 base model. Hidden headlights, but with a non-lighted fuel access door.
It also does not have rear bumper guards.
