Here: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=owners&thread=616&post=3737Blusmbl writes: > I have seen these jacks in blue and green, not sure why there is a color > difference but it seems to be the same jack. and included these "before" pics of his jack. I'd never seen a green Monaco jack before. 74 Marin County was blue: 74 Fury was blue: 76 parts car was blue: I found this cool page about Mopar jack color: www.nicksgarage.com/jacks.htmand it points out: > Note that this page only covers up through 1971 models. After that, > Chrysler went to a universal jack type that had a hook that fit into a > slot in the bumper. The 1974 parts catalog shows two jack part numbers: non-station-wagon: 3621395 station-wagon: 3621396 All 74 Monacos had the same front bumper, so either jack would need to work with the same bumper. So would the only difference be load capacity? The parts catalog says that 3621395 is the complete jack, but this site: www.collectorsautosupply.com/query.asp?make=MOPAR+A+BODY&year=0§ion=BODYsays the part number is just: > Base for Jack They have them for $40 which sounds like a good price if it includes the entire jack (and you don't have one to cleanup as Blusmbl did). But I don't see anything about blue/green. Anybody else have a green jack? Ideas on why different colors? your friend in being able to swap a spare, arthur

Not quite the same, but I found this thread on vintage floor jacks. The example shown in the thread is a 1975 AJAX brand floor jack, and it explains how Blue jacks were made in the US and Green jacks were made in Japan. www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96282
