Anybody seen a power booster heat shield before?
on my 74 cop Fury.
At first I thought it might be a cop-only option. Here we talk about how cop brake boosters were different:

But I think this shield is a civilian option. I couldn't find anything on this shield in the 74 parts catalog. But I did find this recall notice on 74 mopars:
from the May 1979 issue of Popular Mechanics:

I don't see it listed in the 74 Dodge Technical Service Bulletins.

But maybe TSBs don't cover recall info.
> So, what is a TSB? The letters stand for Technical Service Bulletin.

So let's go with the theory that this brake booster heat shield was a recall item for 1974 Monacos. If it was a recall for 1974, one would think that it would be installed by default on 1975+ Monacos, and I see it listed in the 75 parts catalog as part 5-101-18:
and 5-101-18 isn't shown in the 74 parts catalog
Now this part may be hard to see in most engine photos, but I can't recall ever seeing one on any Monaco. Here's the other side of the bracket on my Fury:
You can see the unused bracket hole between the two mounting studs. I found this pic of my 76 parts car, without bracket:
And this pic of that super-nice 1976 Monaco that was built in 1975 doesn't have it.
Maybe they installed the shield only on cars that brought their car in for recall? It's certainly a nice piece for the Monaco Museum of Amazement.
