Hello to everybody out there in Blumo land! ;D My name is Jeff, I live in Peachtree City GA. I have lurked this board and BBC for at least three to four years, just reading, learning and wrenching. I bought my Bluesmobile almost three years ago, it was a Blumo already but it wasn't correct and it was used and abused. I will start an owners thread and show its resurrection, restoration and correction into the Bluesmobile it is today. I feel like I know almost everyone here as I have read all the posts and followed all the cars and pictures over the years. As most of you are, I am a huge James Bond fan and Ghostbusters fan and car film fan in general. I saw the Blues Brothers movie when it first came out in the theaters and when my friends and finished watching the movie I vowed that one day I would own a 1974 Dodge Monaco-oh yes, no matter how long it takes( cue dramatic music, shake fists in air) In the small world department, it turns out that Scatpack and I are from the same hometown, and if anyone has come to Dragoncon we may have met and not even known it. During the restoration I acquired a lot of extra small parts. I will post up some pictures in the parts section, maybe there is something you might need to keep you Blumo on the road, prices are cheap and I'm stackin' em deep. I will try not to wait three more years to post again! Rollin in the Blumo, Jeff.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, Welcome! When you first told me that you were in Peachtree City, DragonCon is the first thing that I thought of. As my user name might indicate, I've been there many... many times. We've probably drank in the Hyatt bar, only a few feet away from each other, and never knew.

Welcome, blusmbl! That's a nice looking blumo: It looks like a dual-snorkel air-cleaner - and a wigglified antenna! I'm keen to hear how you got it setup and how it's working. your friend in blumo magic, arthur

Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys! I will continue to add to the owners build thread. The antenna is a factory base that I cut off flush where the antenna mounted and drilled a #40 hole down the middle and brazed the coat hanger in it. The plus side is it works great and I can unthread it when I put the car cover on the car. The coat hanger can be bent anyway you like and if it breaks its just a matter of re-drilling and brazing hit it with low gloss black and you're good to go.
