Many pivot points of the wiper linkage to both the driver and passenger wiper have plastic bushings that look like this (center of pic): To replace, just pop two two pieces apart. Then pop out the old plastic bushing. It doesn't look like there's a guaranteed non-destructive way to remove the bushing. I bought a bag of 25 "Dodge Plymouth Chrysler windshield wiper bushings-25 pc" from "Altha3" on e-bay: The description lists the original Mopar Part Number: > They are nylon windshield wiper linkage bushings for various > 1971-on Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler vehicles. Replaces the > Chrysler part number 3799089. Please check your application as > these bushings were used on many Mopar vehicles from > 1971-on. They have a 9/16" groove diameter. There appear to be two types of mopar bushings. The monaco kind (closed end), and the 75-97 CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP WIPER LINKAGE BUSHINGS MOPAR kind with an open end: So remember: close-end mopar part number 3799089

And you need at least four of those bushings if you want to change all of them(I had only three of course). I also put some lubricant inside the new bushings to make moving smoother. These plastic things are very tight, had to push them against the ground just to get them into the "easier" holes at the rods + had to make the holes bigger with a screwdriver before the studs went in. I also fought the rod system into the stud at wiper motor's mounting. I think I wasted about an hour of my life with that, smart person would've opened the nut from the motor and done the work in better position than lying down over the engine.
