After my storage locker was broken into; the only thing stolen was the 440 intake I intended to replace my current high-rise with, I found a replacement via Craigslist and now have a nice 2806178 manifold with a casting date of December 18, 1967. Now all I have to do is get it ready to go on the car when the body shop finishes it, whenever that is... Arghhh on the storage locker breakin! Those bastages! I can commiserate with you on slow contractors getting the work done. Hopefully it's just a time delay and all the work will be as you expect.

Looking real nice! can't wait to see it complete! Sorry to hear about your break in, sad the intake is probably being sold for scrap!

Hi LV,
I don't know what carb you are planning on using but a Thermoquad won't work on that style intake. I had one similar to that and I was glad I fit the carb to it before I blasted it and painted it, the secondaries wouldn't open because the intake opennings were to small. I had to get another manifold with the keyhole opennings to let the throttle plates move fully open. It may not be an issue for you, but you might want to bolt up your intended carb and see if the throttle plates clear before you get it all installed. Nice to see continued progress with your car! Looking forward to more updates.

If it won't work, which I think it should, then I may put it on my Cadillac instead.

My new parts speedometer; I needed it for the odometer wheel and short-needle ammeter gauge.

I was just given this by a friend who bought a '98 Crown Victoria and found it inside of it: It's period-correct for the Bluesmobile and may become part of my stereo bypass system idea that I'm toying around with.

I just got the control box; it's the size of a briefcase, but it'll sure make a neat addition to my trunk. It's now the fastest part of my car because, as Elwood would say, "You can't outrun a Motorola."

If you ever come across another one of these set ups I need one for my Gran Fury.
