cop cars could get a radio-delete bezel, that looks like this: which is the same as the top two here: top = 74 Marin County (original radio delete, but hacked through) middle = nos radio delete bezel bottom = 74 station wagon Here's a pic of a 1974 CHP Monaco bezel from web.archive.org/web/20080517013046/http://www.copcar.com/mo1201.htmThe Ma Mopar radio delete bezel has a distinctive silver outline inside the delete area, with the delete area being raised from the bezel background. Notice that the CHP pic is flat without the silver rectangle - it looks like an actual blockoff plate attached behind the hole of a standard bezel. Here's 440RULEZ's car: which looks like it has a blockoff plate behind a standard bezel. 440RULEZs bezel looks like my fury bezel: cop-like, in the sense that there's no wood trim on it, but a regular hole. I don't know if 440RULEZs bezel is CHP original. The speedo trim looks strange - it looks black on the front edge instead of silver. So maybe CHPs always used standard bezel with a hole, and added a plate behind it? But the car at the top of this thread appears likely to have been ex-CHP, and it has an actual blockoff plate (but also a non-CHP steering wheel, so we really don't know what's going on). some info from: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=information&thread=57&post=149

Interesting. I would love to get one of those non-stereo-delete bezels for my car.
