What about other interior parts? Arthur, especially with all of the parts catalogs you seem to have. How about things like headliners, the sail panels, rear deck lids, door panels, etc? Are any of those interchangeable?

What about other interior parts? Arthur, especially with all of the parts catalogs you seem to have. How about things like headliners, the sail panels, rear deck lids, door panels, etc? Are any of those interchangeable? Hi Legendary: To really dig in, you need the parts catalogs. Here's a 1974 catalog for $29. It's on CD, so you can do easy searching: www.ebay.com/itm/1974-MOPAR-CHRYSLER-DODGE-DESOTO-PLYMOUTH-Parts-Book-CD-/370394624447?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&vxp=mtr&hash=item563d3d71bfThe parts catalog helps one know for sure what parts will swap. Well, the parts catalogs sometimes have errors, but they're pretty good. Without the catalog, a good rule of thumb is for Fury/Monaco interchange: if you think the part looks the same, and think it will swap, it's probably the same part. I know from previously looking at the parts catalogs that the following are the same: - upper door panels - hood - trunklid And I see no reason that these wouldn't be the same: - sail panel - headliner So there's a lot of good stuff that swaps over (that's why I got my Fury). your friend in part swapping, arthur

I could swear that the wheelbases are different , being the fury is shorter .

I could swear that the wheelbases are different , being the fury is shorter . Hi 177: You had me scared for a minute, because if the wheelbases were different, all kinds of things wouldn't transfer between a fury and a monaco. I checked the MVMA specs, and the track-widths are the same, and the wheelbases are the same. It is my understanding that the subframes and suspension components are the same, and axle, mounts, and body mounting surfaces in the rear are the same, as well as all the underbody sheet metal from the axle to the subframe. Here are sections from the MVMA specs: your friend in inter-make parts transfers from Fury to Monaco, arthur

We've got to get better organizing for fury/monaco similarities (for parts swapping purposes).
Here's one thing that swaps between Monaco and Fury:
all 4 of these are the same part number (Monaco on top, Fury on bottom). Left and right are the same part, just flipped 180 degrees around.

Good info here so far. Another question. What about front end parts? Obviously the fenders aren't interchaneable, but what about the bumper, header panel, and headlight assemblys and bezels from a '74 Fury. Are these the same as the ones from a '74 Monaco?

Hi Legendary:
The header panel, bumper, grille, and chrome-painted plastic buckets that surround the headlights are all different between monaco/fury.
But the headlights and headlight mounting "plate" are the same. I put some info in another thread; I'll move it here.

There were 3 Monaco/Fury fenders: 1) Fury 2) Monaco without cornering light 3) Monaco with cornering light And the header panel, grille, and trim around the headlights were all different between Monaco / Fury. They can't be individually swapped between a Monaco/Fury. But it looks like they could all be swapped as a set. Meaning this collection of parts: - header panel - grille - trim around the headlights from a monaco could replace that set of parts on a Fury, even though the fenders were different. At least it seems to me that they would swap. I think that is what Sean is looking at doing here: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=parts&action=display&thread=896

I could be mistaken, but from everything that I have researched, in 1974 there were 4 trim levels to the Fury:
Fury I Fury II Fury III Fury Gran
So technically it wasn't a "Gran Fury", but there was a "Fury Gran Sedan"... and a "Fury Gran Coup". .
