My hubby and I saved this 74 Monaco from the demolition derby in NJ. An older woman in Vineland, NJ owned it and was unable to drive. In NJ, in order to keep a vehicle on your property, it must be registered. She couldn't afford to do so, so she sold it to a junk yard. We had it for a year before we had the time to do the transformation, but we couldn't be more happy with it. Dan Aykroyd saw it on Crystal Head Vodka's Facebook page and posted the following: "This Bluesmobile replica is one of the best I've ever seen (nice work Penny)." The ULTIMATE compliment!! Welcome to the site mrsb. I remember the photo you posted at BBC. I see that in the few new photos, posted on FB, the car now has the whitewalls flipped and a pushbar. Sweet Looking forward to some more pics. * Not to be a downer... and someone please correct me if I am mistaken, but wasn't it determined, on BBC, that the DA Facebook page couldn't be/wasn't actually DA ? I remember a couple reps from Crystal Head stating that his only website was DanAykroydWines.com, and that he didn't use computers. Maybe that has changed? .

Hey Mrs B ! Welcome, that's a good looking Bluesmobile from the front. It looks like Proboards only allows one attachment per post so if ya feel like posting 5 more pics just make 5 more posts lol. Or 10, it doesn't matter. The stories of saving Monaco's from a derby fate are inspiring indeed.

Wow, very cool. I wish I had gotten the Approbation of Dan in writing as you had! Thats very neat. I did get a quick "Authentic Looking!" from him, but he was very distracted at the time. Gret to have you.

If you do decide to bid and win this car, I can recomend a first class shipping company. I've used them 8 times to ship vehicles from all over the U.S with zero issues. Plus their prices are very reasonable!!
