im sure shumacher has done the work and test fitted everything to ensure the big block will go into the small block subframe. They also note that the motor will sit in the factory location. Therefore i would assume the trans would bolt up with no problem. But if the motor was an inch forward witbout their kit, i dont see the trans bolting up without problems. I dont think there should be much trouble with the their kit. But then again i havnt tried it, nor does it seem anyone else has on the 73 and up c bodys.

LV says that both a - small block + motor mount - big block + motor mount plug into a 74 small block subframe, but doesn't provide info on how the transmission lines up. I didn't do a test-fit of the transmission; I should have that in and the car on the road within a month's time, though. Now I'm tempted to test-fit the trans...

Well, I hope to test my theory here in the next couple of weeks, as I'm getting to the point where I'm going to slide the 440 into the 360 hole...I'll let you guys know how the rear trans mount hooks up, or if the block sets geewhatty in the K-frame.
