Started pulling clip off the 74. Can I leave the headlight buckets on core support on both cars? Same as 77? 74 fenders bad behind tire, can we blend the rear part of the good 77 front fenders using cutoff wheel and welds? Are bumper shocks same? Of course I can answer this when both are apart and side by side. Curious ? Also a reset button on hood hinge brace, what is that for? Thanks Phish Core support should be the same. The 77 support will even have the holes/slots already there to mount the headlight brackets.
The 74 bumper shocks are shorter than the 77. The fiberglass nose on the 77s pushed the front bumper out further, hence the longer shocks
I'm interested if the community can figure out the "reset button" you found. I have one of those as well; from one of the cars I parted out, forget which exactly. I threw it in the parts stash out of curiosity. No idea....

Had the reset button/circuit breaker on old heavy trucks. Would pop on a starter overload. Odd to see it on a mid 70's sedan. Humm.. what other funky options in a car would need such a breaker?

No wonder I had to jump start with screwdriver.
WHAT IS THE SEATBELT / STARTER INTERLOCK SYSTEM? This system prevents a vehicle from starting unless the seat belts are fastened. But it goes beyond that. The seat belts must be fastened within a specific sequence. For example, the driver (and front seat passenger) must get into the car, close the door(s), sit down, and then fasten the seat belts. If the seat belts are not fastened, or if they are fastened in an incorrect order, the car will not start. WHAT VEHICLES INCORPORATED THIS SYSTEM? All 1974, and early-to-mid 1975 vehicles had the seatbelt interlock system.

Mine has that system, unplug all the bullshit under the front seat and it disables that system.

I learned somthing. As I think about it my aunt had an old Volare when I was a kid. She had this process to go through before starting. I thought it was new Chapman security system.

It could. Think the car has enough character it won't need it.
