I think i may have found one. The price seems right at 2,800. Its got a 2 bbl 360 though. Is a 75 body style close enough to a 74 to make it fairly realistic?
Sorry if its already been covered in other threads.
Thanks

- Hi dub1. The front end of a 1974 Monaco vs a Royal Monaco are quite different. The Royal Monaco has the headlight doors ... The Royal Monaco bumper and fenders are also different but from the firewall on back the cars are identical. If the car you're thinking of is a sedan, has no rust and a gold interior then it's an excellent start for a Blumo. You'd just need to find a 1974 donor car and swap the front clip which is what I call the nose, fenders and bumper. My terminology might not be entirely accurate there but here's an example of what I mean ... That was a 1974 2-door Monaco that gave up it's front clip for a Royal Monaco sedan. The Royal Monaco sedan in that case (not shown) would have then become an accurate looking Blumo and the '74 2-door above now looks like a Royal Monaco. If the Royal Monaco you're thinking of is a hardtop with vent windows, rust, and a green interior ... I'd say pass. You'll find better options by keeping an eye on our forums here. Ask any questions you want, many folks have found good cars here.

Its a tan color w green interior. I looked and the pics dont show vent windows. The owner said very light rust on the door frame was it.

- Is it a hardtop or a sedan? Just in case you're not sure the difference the sedan has the B-pillar (or post) and the hardtop does not. Hardtop Sedan Also the hardtop has the rounded back window. So for sure the sedan is what you're after ideally.

Stream is right, I forgot that there was a base Monaco which had exposed headlights in 75 and a Royal which had the headlight doors. I attached pictures from the 1975 Monaco Brochure as a reference. Someday I'm going to find a hardtop because I love the way they look.

Well sir, we've seen hardtop Blumo's many times and they can look ok. Some folks even create a fake b-pillar to create the illusion of a sedan. We've even seen a 1975 Royal Monaco hardtop as a Blumo, it started like this ... And became this ... - bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1754/sold-royal-monaco-hardtop-blumoIt's up to you to decide what level of screen accuracy you want to pursue. We don't see a lot of 1974 Monaco sedans for sale anymore but we still see a fair number of Royal Monaco sedans for sale and still at pretty fair prices, $3,000 $2,000 and sometimes less than $2,000. And as member 'ncblues' just proved there's still 2-doors to be found out there for the front clip swap. We've also posted 2-doors for sale here recently and a fair priced '74 wagon also that the front clip could be harvested from. So, there's options.

D Don't waste your money, '75-'77 sedans (and sometimes a '74 or two) pop up in really good condition for cheap, be patient, it's not worth wasting your time on a hardtop, at least in my opinion 9

That’s my car 🙂 now in Scotland uk Right on, David! ---------- Some folks even create a fake b-pillar to create the illusion of a sedan. This next vid shows an example of a fake b-pillar ... That particular fake b-pillar I think is something from the arts & crafts store, held on with velcro? I'm not 100% sure. We have other info here somewhere, that Blumo has been around a long time !
