Now, I know this isn't my auction BUT if I were the seller, I'd have that $5500 Buy It Now but have a reserve and start the bidding at $100. It would be fun to see how high it would go and maybe he'd unleash a real bidding war among 2 or 3 serious prospective buyers. In his ad he says he's got some local interest. Very good, but obviously whatever offer they threw at him wasn't close enough to the number he has in his head. If someone showed up with $3,500 cash, that's respectable and couldn't be considered a low-ball offer.

The last auction for this car ended yesterday with a Buy It Now of $4,775. Went unsold. Seller re-listed with a Reserve auction, starting at $1,000. He should have did his first auction like this. Would have saved him from seeing the comments on this board that upset him apparently, making a little fun of his original Buy It Now price of $6,000!

Auction ended last night with a top bid of $3,050. Seller lowered Buy It Now to $4,500. I agree with the bidders, a decent buy at $3,050. Not really worth more than that.

Owner insists it’s a 5k car all day. I politely disagreed (I was the 3050 bidder). I told him when he was serious about selling to look me up, but that’s all I was willing to pay.

Still on Cincinnati Craigslist, as a 1977 Dodge Monaco (even though it is not), for $4,500.

It can stay on eBay and Craigslist for that price.

Our favorite 1977 Royal Monaco from Ohio is back on eBay for a ridiculous sum of $5900.00 with no best offer feature. He's trying to make a claim that it was a police or government car, even though it was established here that it was not. "no to sure if this was a cop car or govt issue but if u look theres a screw where the drivers side mirror is from a spot light or something the guy i bought it from said it was used as a county or govt car but looks like the special order tag came off cuz theres a hole next to the fender tag where one used to be im not sure but thats what i think" 1977 Royal Monaco

It didn’t sell with a Buy It Now of... $4,000 was it? And now he wants $5900? Hmmm , maybe he put $1900 into it?!?! Yeah, right.
