^ Must be close to 10 years or so since you sold her, Huey? It's a great car and it looks like someone might have hit the Buy It Now, although I'm not 100% sure about that. I noticed with daBay now, sometimes when you click on an old ad looking to see if it sold or what, it will take you instead to a current auction for something sorta similar. When I click on the link above for #43 it takes me to an ad for a 2009 P71 K9 unit! Pretty cool. Take your dogs to the park in this ... But yeah, I guess #43 is sold ... ?

I met dabluesgarage, owner of #43, at Chicagoland in 2010. Nice guy. He had his other screen-used BB2K Blumo there, #66, ex-Dave Neuman.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BluesmobileI posted a few pics to wiki bluemobile page. One showing guards and 43, also 66, then memories from 2011. Tried to post photo of door shield there, but they wanted it down since I'm not Universal. Ahh ok, so maybe that's why it's a fan owned Blumo clone as the main pic there at wiki. An actual screen-cap might be against the copyright rules ? Any thoughts if Universal got permission to alter and use Illinois State Seal? I guess Universal altered it enough to get away with it. The eagle faces the opposite direction and the official seal is "Illinois State Police" but the movie seal is "Cook County" which is not an accurate representation of the Cook County seal at all. ?

^ Cool that "Blues Brothers Next Generation" made a Blumo out of a car they bought from someone who had 2 real movie Blumos! That one didn't get posted here when you had it for sale, but this dark blue Arizona one did: SOLD - 1991 P72 5.0 (New York) | BluesmobilesThat must be your in-service version in this Wiki photo you posted:

Well, Steam, you can mark this one as sold. Apparently I'm now the owner of screen-used Bluesmobile #43! Never saw this coming. Thanks, dabluesgarage, for working with me and ending the auction early. The car will stay in Western New York, and I plan to return the exterior to screen appearance (or close to it) as weather, time and funds permit. I think we still have Bismo's excellent tutorial here on how to do the paint and graphics for the BB2000 Bluesmobile I couldn't find it in Bismo's posts or under HOW-TOs. I did find this Flickr album, but it doesn't show the doors through to completion. I guess I could just ask the man himself! Painting a Bluesmobile! | Flickr

Painting a Bluesmobile! | FlickrAye, that's mine... most of the stencils for the doors and pillars I hand cut... I took some screen shots and blew them up on a copier as a guide. Then just layered the stencils one color at a time. For the letters around the seal I actually used some sponge letters from a craft store (I'm a big fan of painting with sponges on a lot of this stuff to simulate weathering). My gosh, that was almost 13 years ago now.... Any other questions let me know, I'll answer to the extent my fading memory allows LOL! Keep the Faith....

Apparently I'm now the owner of screen-used Bluesmobile #43! Right on, Dan-O !! When I read that you were thinking about it I knew you'd be the perfect owner. Thanks to LeRoy for dropping by again and bumping the thread, I noticed it was posted in 'entertainment memorabilia / movie memorabilia' which is why I reckon we missed it. Whenever you're selling any more cars LeRoy let us know and drop us a link . Kudos to Bismo for keeping them there how-to pics around after almost 13 years !

Here is a link to a video of the #43 prior swapping parts out. 66 in back ground.
This video has sound others well just quiet dash cam of old fords, chevys, cadillacs driving around.
some in light siren parades.
This I hope can be used as a quick reference guide to anyone wanting to make a bb2k car out of an old Ford LTD Crown Victoria.

A closer look will show this is a True Canadian odometer and speedometer cluster(Unique to Canada). Yes indeed, I should have specified a certified 220 We see in the VIN for #43 that it's a true P72 so I was just wondering why it wasn't a certified speedo. This part was not swapped out by me. The certified 220 does seem to be a rare speedo, for sure. I went through several pages of Crown Vic's here just to find that example and that one was in a 1987 model. The previous owner of #43 I believe was Huey who is a member here, so maybe he swapped it out. ? Thanks for all your great info!
