I'm pretty sure that's the hood off of the red coupe that was being parted when I was building what is now the London Bluesmobile, I was supposed to get the front bumper but the guy was trying to rape me on shipping.

I'm not sure that is a 74 Monaco hood. I don't think I've ever seen the chrome trim on the rear edge of a Monaco hood and maybe I'm nuts but the leading edge doesn't look to have the correct shape.

I'm not sure that is a 74 Monaco hood. I agree. I don't know about the trim but the leading edge shouldn't come to a point like that. I also thought it was from a red 2-door that 58Hemi mentioned earlier, I'm sure there's a pic of that car here but I can't find it. Anyway yes, I agree this hood is labeled incorrectly. What is it from?

Good question. I can't place it.

That's a Monaco hood and it has the rollers on the torsion bars so it's '74, most likely off of that red coupe.

You've been around the 74's as much as anyone on these forums so I trust your judgement 100%. But I'm still wondering about what looks like how it comes to a point in the center of that hood. I didn't think anything of it until Jason mentioned it ... it seems weird but then again I look at pictures through dollar store reading glasses. Last weekend in the garage with no dollar store glasses on I was like, what's that debris at the bottom of the garbage can? So I went to pick it out ... it was a mouse, lol. I'm going to have to get proper glasses one of these days.

- I had been going through the 'blusmbl' build thread the other day, I reckon this pic shows where the point would fit into the header ... It seems straight in so many pics I've looked at, some sort of Jedi mind trick I guess.

I went and looked at my hood and I was surprised how pointy it was compared to what was in my head. I've still never seen the trailing edge trim like that before though.
I wonder how much it would cost to ship a hood.
