I dropped out, this sold for £7750 plus 20% commission. Too much? If it had a tan gut and the front wasn't wrecked and the deck lid destroyed it'd be a good deal, hit like that with a green interior unless it was a 440 car I'd say it went too high.

- Thanks for the info, Wiggy! So it sold for the equivalent of $10,150 USD and then $2 grand commission. The $2 grand is probably the approximate cost of roll-on roll-off shipping NY to UK? So it's already in the UK for $12 grand, I guess that does sound appealing to someone who doesn't want to take a chance with a car being lost at sea due to giant sharks and stuff. Or in Ant's case, didn't a car that he had bought off of craigslist once actually catch fire on the dock before leaving the USA ? I don't think it would have fetched that kind of dough here on eBay ($10,150), and what if it is indeed the former SCMODS rust bucket from Indiana.? I mean we're talking about severe rust, the car was rolling bondo and filler. We don't know what kind of repairs Video Bob did before selling it, if it is the same car ... Anyhoo, aside from the green interior and the fender mount turn signals, it's a fairly accurate good looking Blumo. Marked as sold .

Ok, so I ended up buying a different vehicle from the same auction. When I went to a Belfast to collect, the Blumo was still there but hadn’t been paid for or collection arranged. I had my mechanic look over her and with the exception of the two dings, one front and one rear, this is a good solid car that also runs really well. Hence...... a few negotiations took place, and after a logistical conundrum I’m very pleased to say she’s all mine after all....... currently on a truck on her way to me. Given How few of these there are here in the UK, I think the price paid - which was the same as the final sale price - was pretty darn good.
Ant actually lives just a few miles away from me here in the UK, we have already spoken and are gonna get the cars together for a photo shoot and some promo at some stage.
I’ll be sure to forward some photos just as soon as I can. Oh, and just to note that the damage really isn’t as bad as it looks - certainly nothing a good panel beater shouldn’t be able to fix up! Wish me luck!

the damage really isn’t as bad as it looks - Right on, that's good news. That's a cool story the way you managed to buy this Blumo, all about the timing, eh Take a good look under the seats for any left over bags of weed, don't get caught selling it! Best to just give it to the kids near the school. Any sign of the giant red phone when you were there? Mariah Carey might have slithered around on that phone, it started melting lol .... * Just noticed Mariah's has an extra dot/hole in the center so maybe it's a different prop? Those phones seem fairly close in size.

Hey everyone, long time no see. Just wanted to update this thread to state that the Bluesmobile in this auction was the one I created in 2010. I sold it in 2012 to a local classic car dealer. Soon after, it was auctioned off to someone in the UK, I think related to this drug dealer. Here's a video from these forums from the 2010 show with the car in question: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/44/2011-bluesmobile-gathering-chicago?page=1

^ Hey bagman! Thanks for the info. When it was mentioned that the car wasn't in bad shape at all then we knew at that point that it wasn't the SCMODS rotbox. You put together a very nice Blumo, they have tremendous journeys, don't they? This one is still rockin' and rollin', it's part of a tribute act now, and also for hire in the UK if one was so inclined ... - www.blues-brothers-tribute-band.co.uk/about-us.html
