TK, did you ever save any pics from "Star Cars Australia?" They apparently had a Blumo but I can't see any pics at their website. www.starcarsaus.com.au/home/Was this one part of that group?

I tried making the pic a bit bigger, might have lost a bit of the detail ... Any more pics of this Blumo?

Note:
The car is in fact a 1976 as the sale page states. It was originally an all white civilian car from Washington state. The front end... including the fenders, hood, grille, header, and bumper were replaced with '74 parts.

This car cannot be registered for the street , because its not converted ? I remember someone from BBC saying he had to change his over and add amber signals to the rear and in stale shoulder harnesses in the rear seats . Maybe this is why its for sale .

^That doesn't sound like too much work. I even googled "importing cars to australia" and the custom + other fees don't seem to be impossible.

LHD is OK as long as the car is 30 years old or older. I don't know about the shoulder harnesses or turn signals, but neither would be hard to do.

I imported one early last year (details on BBC) to Australia. The process, although long and potentially frustrating, is not that difficult. The car can remain LHD but needs all new seat belts, child restraints on the back parcel shelf, amber indicators and new lights. I got mine at a good price and I believe it is in better condition than this one but by the time I imported it, paid all the taxes, did some work (new interior, stereo, etc) it would owe me over 20K. If this car runs well, doesn't have rust and has Australian certification I think he will get $20,000. From what I can work out there is only three Dodge Monaco Bluesmobiles in Australia.

- This one has been listed for sale again since Feb!! I only noticed it recently and the asking price now is $35,000 AUD or around $25,000 USD. 1976 with a '74 clip It's mentioned earlier in this thread that an ad from 2012 for this car had it listed at 83,885 miles but I think that was a typo at the website. The mileage listed in late 2011 was 34,574 and now it's 36,000 and something, so 1,500 to 2,000 miles in 4 years would seem right for a car that only gets out to shows once in a while and the odd cruise around I reckon. I believe the 36,000 miles figure to be accurate. - www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/innisfail/cars-vans-utes/1976-dodge-monaco-bluesmobile-/1103546143
