Geez thanks a lot, SCMODS. I had the headphones on when you started the car, now my ears hurt ... lol. It already looks 10x cooler just with the tires and wheels, not to mention the spotlight. Is that the ugliest vinyl roof you've ever seen? Nice start, man. Thanks for the vids.

Thanks guys!!! Well, I realized today just how much I hate vinyl tops. I really would like the name of the engineer at Chrysler who thought..."Hmmm, it would be so nice if we could glue cloth and vinyl material to the roof of these cars and REALLY make them look nice!" Sorry, I forgot how much fun this part is. Anyway, got the rivets off the body anyway. I also have a bad power steering pump. Something the owner forgot to mention until I was driving it up on the trailer. Had to order one from Autozone and OUCH!!! $168.00 with tax. Anyway, I had to take a straight job so my progress will be slow but steady. We have moved "temporarily" into an older, retired duplex community where they enforce a "NO WORKING ON VEHICLES" law. Nazi's. So far I have not been greatly accepted with the Monaco. Oh well. Thanks for the encouragement as always.

keep at it man. My neighbors hate me because of the themed cars I've got revolving around my house lol. The neighbor to my left refuses to talk to me because of the caddy hearse.

AWSOME! Gotta love neighbors lol. It's a garage cubical! That's a great car to start with - and a nice start on the transformation! When you walked by the door to the kitchen, it reminded me of that video of "Elwood's Dad" linked from BBC - the youtube video of the guy in Europe who had to open the door to the kitchen to get out of his car. Not much room, but looking good!

Thanks man! I went to Rural King and gloss black Rustoleum in the "big" can was on sale. Went on way too good unfortunately. Plenty of dirt roads nearby luckily. I have been referencing your car and a few others for some details that I have always been vague on. Seems like I never get the star just right. Hopefully this time I will. Last time the car I started with was in TERRIBLE shape. This time I actually have a good foundation to work with. Thanks again.

Well after seeing what you did with the last car, Im real eager to see what happens with this one! Deff looks like a much better base car to start with. Im flattered my cars being used as a reference! If theres anything I can help with, please let me know! I did a lil write up on my star on bbc. I used hueys method. I have a set of mbmopars stars, and cut out a stencil from them, and transferred it to a papper grocery bag. Then sprayed wd-40 on it, then the black paint. Took the star and placed it on the door, and just pressed it on.

Just have a rag ready! Its real messy! You can see all the black drips on the floor from it. It will smear, and run down all over the door too. So wanna try and wipe off the drips real quick before it has anytime to try.
