^ All of that has kinda been builders discretion. We've seen both 176 and 178 for the trunk #. The Mount Prospect Police phone # is 253-2151 but some see the # on the movie Bluesmobile as 275-4131. The white and gold has been discussed, it's almost like that blue or gold dress thing that was buzzing around a few months ago. What colour is it? Lol.
So basically I don't have an answer to any one of your questions. I've always thought of all the graphics as faded white. A member, JKNLWD, has mentioned he felt that that the "To Serve And Protect" was white and that the P1 and trunk graphics looked like they started gold and then faded. It depends who you ask. The Mount Prospect squads in 1974 were solid blue so there is no actual reference available to a 1974 B&W Mount Prospect police car, such a beast did not exist.
My opinion is the rear phone numbers are white with a light dusting of flat black, the P1 on the rear doors are either rusting or poorly covered with red primer, the fender lettering is obviously white. TK826'templates are the best you'll find for correct lettering, I'd suggest getting them from him. I made my own P1's but used the rest from him. See Mrroverover's car, that's my old Bluesmobile with TK's stencils.

I wish when I had the stencil on the car I had gone over the white with a dusting of flat black, I tried it afterwards but didn't like the flat black oversray on the shiny black paint so I buffed it off but you can see the coloring was dead on and when I do my next one I will do it this way while the stencil is in place.
