Man... you used to get hit by a lot of cars. I'm also digging that flying tuck n roll, on the "Bad Guy Gets Away" video.

Something tells me this is gonna be a bad move for Ford. The downsized Chevy Impalas didn't go over well with law enforcement. The Impalas started popping up all over the place, then quickly disappeared.Chicago is switcing over to Yukons which look awesome as police vehicles.

The Yukon's are awesome but they can't use them for pursuit. It looks like it's gonna be a horsepower battle. The new Impala will have 302 but the new Taurus will have an optional twin turbo V6 putting out 365. There's some good vids of the Ford police here ... www.ford.com/fordpoliceinterceptor/

Pursuit! A lot of departments nowadays have a 'no pursuit' policy.Just let the criminals go.

A lot of departments nowadays have a 'no pursuit' policy. I've read that the policy in Illinois is that the pursuing officer is not allowed to go faster than 20mph over the posted limit. Although that particular article was from 3 years ago. I don't know if that was ever established or was just a recommendation. ? I figured that shit was gonna hit the fan here again Sunday night after a car being pursued crashed into another vehicle. The only serious injury was the female in the passenger seat of the car being pursued. So far there's been no mention of pursuit policy, which usually happens after a crash. It's a tough call, one that I would leave to the officers judgement would be my thinking. ---

Something I just found out, and don't think it has been mentioned yet...
The St.Thomas auto plant also made the Lincoln Town Car. So, those are now history as well.
The last of these two cars also marks the end of "body on top of frame" car construction in North America, as they were the last two models still built that way.

^ So very true now, Ghostman. It would appear the last bit of Thomas Assembly came down last month, even the guard shack has been removed. There should be one more update from 'Greg OnYoutube,' here's his last 3 vids from St. Thomas ... Looks like the final run of the 'box' Vic ended December 1990 ... So none of the 1991 P72's in existence were actually built in 1991 ? The St.Thomas auto plant also made the Lincoln Town Car. And, looks like the Illinois Nazimobile was also made there ... - www.elgin.ca/elgincounty/culturalservices/archives/st_thomas_ford_exhibit/the_vehicles/crown_victoria.html-----
