Never got to see him play live. I worry that with him gone, we're getting closer to all that recycled, digitally-sampled techno-grooves, quasi-synth rhythms, pseudo-songs of violence-laden gangsta-rap, acid pop, and simpering, saccharine, soulless slush being all we have left.

Never got to see him play live. I never saw B.B. live, either. More of an effort on certain occasions should have been made. Alas ... always have the music. Like millions of others, one of my all time favourite blues tunes is The Thrill Is Gone. Studio ... And Live at Montreux 1993. It's been up for a few years but look at the views, 17 million! And thank you Blu-ray because you can buy that concert ... www.blu-ray.com/movies/BB-King-Live-At-Montreux-1993-Blu-ray/5308/RIP B.B. King.

I was blessed to not only see B.B. many times but to meet him personally on a couple of occasions, including getting to sing with him once. A more genuine man you'll never meet... warm, VERY humble, very interested in those he talked with. We knew it was coming but a very sad day for the blues.

A B.B. King/ Duane Allman/ Duck Dunn jam session is happening as we speak...and we all know who's on lead vocals.
