"Fury GT" from the C-Body Dry Dock mentions there's only 3 of these documented known to exist! - cbodydrydock.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?170377.40He never actually mentions if it's VSP or not. If it's a documented car, one of three, and one of the three already is confirmed VSP, and this car is for sale in Virginia ... I guess the odds are shifting towards 'pretty good' that it's a Virginia State Police car.

I've never seen any version of that body style before, rare indeed. Looks badly rusted, unfortunately.

Ok, I know, I'm new here. I joined because I HAD to reply to this post and confess my sins. I personally have had 3 of these cars. And unfortunately I cut them up because they were so rotted I at the time brlieved they were not saveable. They were all RI state police units. 2 were PK21L9D's and one was a PK21K9D. I used one of the HP drivetrains in my 1970 Dart and sold the other 2. I sure wish I would have kept and restored at least one of them! If anyone has any questions about them give me a call. Lee. 401-743-1442.

I HAD to reply to this post and confess my sins. You're among friends, Lee, the Penguin is compassionate ... Just don't piss her off haha Thanks for the story, I bet a bunch of us here sometimes think about the hockey cards and baseball cards and comics and stuff that just wound up lost throughout the youth. But you got us all beat, lol sorry, man. Just ribbin' ya. Now we know that RI used the 1969 2-door as well so that's 3 states confirmed. If you ever come across any old cop cars that you're not interested in yourself, let us know! * Car has been marked as sold

I am pretty sure Hall's auto parts in Scituate RI still has some retired RI Fury cruisers. Check them out.

I CAN tell you that the 2 HP cars had oil pressure gauges in the dash and the standard 440 did not. The low performance car also had A/C which makes me believe it was a detective unit. Also, the HP cars had factory cable tether straps on the left motor mounts where the non HP did not.

- What a cool car. Very little info, no mention of the motor size but it could be a 440. From Allpar, "In 1967, the 440 was available on the Polara and Fury I, in two forms: the 350 hp standard-cam and the 375 hp special-cam." Asking $9,800 - rockford.craigslist.org/cto/5619554866.html
