Outside of the movie? What's the "wired blumo"? Wired magazine? Blumo from the blues brothers "wired" for sound? The movie? What movie is the pic from?

Wired is the 1989 unauthorized biopic about John Belushi, which reportedly made Dan Aykroyd very upset. They got the Bluesmobile a bit off, using the previous body style. -AZB

From the original script you mean? What model is this? It's a 73 Monaco. I'm actually surprised they got any kind of Monaco, since usually the untrained eye might confuse a 74 with a Fury, Impala, or LTD and just replace it with one of those.

And for that segment they needed a blumo. So they got/built/had built a 73 monaco to perform the role of the 13+ blumos used in the actual Blues Brothers movie.

I think it's a '73 Polara, Monacos in '73 had more trim and I can't see the front in the pic but the Monaco had hideaway headlights.

So this car had 3 seconds of air-time in the entire movie? I'm surprised they made it as close as they did.
I see it for the first few seconds in part 7/12 of the movie here:

I guess we have to be careful, as someone could make a '73 Polara blumo and say that it's "screen accurate".
