It's a 1957 Belvedere in Baltimore, MD and there's a small change you need to do to make it look like a screen accurate '58 ... but I don't remember what it is

Something you could take care of as you piece her back together ...

1957 Belvedere Two Door Hardtop. The car has '57/'58 Belvedere Trim, good "solex" tinted glass and power steering. The car is a roller, meaning there is no engine, transmission or driveshaft.

- Here's a 1958 Belvedere on its way to becoming Christine. Closing in on $20,000 just under 4 days to go ...

Sitting since 1996. Not sure of the original color but was painted red and white ”Christine” colors years ago. The previous owner installed 4 new tires, cleaned fuel tank and did the brakes. I installed a new battery and the car is drivable as is. It starts, idles, drives , shifts and stops. It has dual exhaust with worn out mufflers with no tail pipes. I had the seats re-upholstered with a close to original pattern which I think came out great. I installed a new carpet kit over a 99% rust free floor pan. The small amount of scale I treated with rust converter and coated with rubberized undercoating. Had a new package tray made as well.

The body on this car is rust free with great patina. It has many of the desirable options like bumper wings and dual mirrors. Car has 3 speed push button torque-flight and power steering and brakes. Trunk floor is very solid with just a couple smaller holes. Engine is a 318 cu in (pretty sure) 2 bbl that is pretty original. Glass is all good except for a cracked windshield. The brakes work but pull. The power steering has what I call excessive play. Trans shifts great, headlights, brake lights, and turn signals work. Some gauges work, some don’t. The gas gauge does not.

This 1958 Belvedere is in Quebec City, Canada ...

The car was restored a number of years ago by a well-known Christine guy named Mopar Mel. It was redone entirely at the time, frame off, and since it changed hands a couple of times in the last ten or 15 years, it was almost all redone again afterwards, including a tremendous amount of work under my ownership in the last year or so. The motor is a 383 cubic inch from 1968 with the desireable dual four-barrel carburators setup. This engine is coupled with a push-button three speed torqueflite transmission. Both were rebuilt during the restoration of the car years ago.

A little under 5 days to go and this Christine is up to $27,699 ...

If I was selling it I would not mention Mopar Mel, he has a worse reputation than Laguna Matt, he's kicked out of every facebook group, you can't mention his name without some horror story about a car or part he sold, bad news. That car might as well be free for the nightmare it's going to be.

Well, with grille "V" emblems going for between $500 and $1,000, and the bumper wings going for around $4,000 for a set of originals, whoever gets it for the 20+ grand will have something to work with, even if they have to start from scratch.

- This one is a 1957 but looks to have done the bits needed to be a '58 clone. The taillights are different from the '57 to '58 so I think the taillights have been swapped here to be screen accurate. What else? Needs them fatter whitewalls    Asking price is $26,000 in Olney, IL.

- The beautiful 1958 Fury. Rare car. This one has been repainted light gold, it looks similar to factory but it's not original. The name of the original, and only available, color of factory paint for the 1958 Fury is Buckskin Beige and the paint code was MMM.

That's pretty average for one in that shape; the set of bumper wings alone would run you around 2 grand in rusty condition. Fortunately, you can get chrome-plated vinyl faux wings for around 500 bucks a set off of eBay.
