As I mentioned in the other thread, my car is in the shop for a radiator leak. Well, after talking to them today, of course it is a worst case scenario. (It always seems to be that way when dealing with auto shops They tell me I need a new one. For those of you who have purchased a new radiator, can you please throw out what price you paid, and where it was from? (I know there was a thread about this, on the other board, but of course that is gone) * I was quoted 300 for the radiator itself... plus labor. I may have no other options though as the gathering is only 5 days away and I was told it will be at least 3 days to get the radiator in. (if I call them today with the ok) .

I got one from autozone prolly 5 years ago now. But If I remember correctly TI had to get a rad, and autozone didnt make them anymore. You can still try. Maybe get lucky and they will have that last one thats in stock, that nobodys bought in years! lol
It was under $200 for the radiator, I remember that. So that quote isn to stupid high priced. Maybe just get the rad form them and put it in yourself. I think the hardest part is the tranny cooler lines. But from as clean as your car sounds, they shouldnt be to hard to get them off without bending the lines.

Yeah, I tried to get one from AutoZone last year, it was still listed on their web site (for about $200 or a tad over if I remember correctly) but turned out to no longer be available. So I went through Radiators.com which hooked me up with one for... yup, about $300 and it had to be shipped. On the plus side it was an original Mopar radiator and works beautifully so well worth it in the end!

It looks like I might have made the right choice, because earlier today I came across radiator.com and placed an order.
$217.00 + $24.00 for Guaranteed Overnight Delivery.
I just checked "radiators.com" and I'm thinking they are both part of the same network of warehouse/supply shops.
I haven't checked too deeply into it, but so far, both have the very same chat bot, that asks the same questions word for word.
And both mention the fact that they give you a bag of candy with each purchase. (no joke) ;D
The first site falls under the parent company - "1-800-radiators"... and I'm thinking the second one does as well.
I threw in the extra cash for overnight delivery, so we'll see what happens tomorrow. Maybe the delivery driver will be able to give me the lowdown on the operation.

Well, what I thought might happen... happened.
Got a call this morning....
"The soonest we can have one to you is Thursday"... "We'll refund the difference in the shipping cost"
Cutting it down to the wire. Perhaps even to the minute.

Dang. All I can say is good luck with this, TK. Seems to be about as close as you can cut it timewise.

Ohhhh... I'd be PO'ed Check it out... radiator.com: ...later a gentleman pulls into the drive way gets out of his car with my radiator. My dad was standing there and nearly fell over in disbelief as did I. Attached to the box was a bag of candy thanking me for doing business. www.radiator.com/blog/radiators.com: ...the three-man team stored all technical information in their heads. They also stored a huge bin of candy, sending a bag with every new radiator as a thank you to our customers. www.radiators.com/aboutus-radiator-companyinfo.html.

No candy here either! But, apart from the price I was pretty pleased with the service.
