Looking for a rear view mirror (Just the mirror and the black casing, not the ceiling mount or the support rod). I'm looking for prices and might have to get mine re-silvered. I'm just trying to see if anyone here has one and if it would be cheaper than having my original fixed..

Hi Legendary: From this pic: from bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=details&thread=309&post=5228it looks like you have a "narrow" mirror as shown in the middle pic here: The top pic is a Hollywood wacky mirror; notice that it is mounted to the trim inside the monaco, instead of the usual ceiling mount spot. The middle and bottom mirrors are standard Mopar ceiling mount mirrors, and they are interchangeable (meaning that if you have a mount and support with a "narrow" mirror, you can just swap a "wide" mirror on it). I don't know anything about that top mirror. You could look at junkyards for a replacement mirror, but if you want a new good mirror, you could go NOS. That other thread has all the part numbers for the mirror piece. If you can't find a NOS mirror, it looks like repairing yours could be a good option. On that other thread you write about getting your glass re-silvered, but that seems like a lot of trouble to me. Surely you can just buy a large wall mirror, and then have it cut to the same size as your piece. I would think most glass shops would be able to provide mirrored sheets of glass, but if not, surely you could find a mirror of the same thickness somewhere else, and just have the glass folks cut it down.

I could go to a glass shop and have them cut a standard mirror piece, but the rear view mirrors are actually tapered in size from the top to the bottom. If you look at the glass at an angle from the bottom to the top, you can see the stepped effect that creates the dimmed lights when you flip the switch. Worst case scenario I just cut a piece of regular glass and hope I don't get too many lifted trucks and/or idiots who don't know how to aim their headlights driving behind me...

Perhaps a glass repair shop can order the correct type of glass? If not, here is another option... Cruising the net, I found this place: www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~dyndetail~Z5Z5Z50000050g~Z5Z5Z514385~P19.95~~~~S3JN03CFXB71201841850G~Z5Z5Z5YES~Z5Z5Z50000050The glass is intended for Corvettes, but if you check the different years you will see that they carry several different shapes and sizes. (I just looked at a few years until I saw one the looked about the correct shape) Perhaps somewhere on that site is a piece that is an exact match. Or, get one that is over-sized and have the glass shop cut it to the correct size. Better yet there might even be a website out there that is Dodge/Chrysler specific.

I'm just trying to see if anyone here has one and if it would be cheaper than having my original fixed.. Hi Legendary: I'm guessing this is your post: > Looking for a rear view mirror for my Monaco. The ceiling mount mirror > from a 74 wagon to be precise. I believe the part number for the mount > is 3760510, and the mirror itself is 3695128. Anyone have one they’re > willing to part with? www.classicmoparforum.com/wtb-ceiling-mount-rear-view-mirror/so you already have the part number from bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=details&thread=309&post=1890There are (22) mirrors for $100 each here: www.collectorsautosupply.com/query.asp?make=MOPAR+B+BODY&year=0§ion=INTERIORNow that's pricey, but sometimes we don't have any options at all. So it seems to me the question isn't: 1) are there any options to get a working nice looking mirror or 2) are there any options less expensive than buying a NOS mirror Here's a place that will re-silver it for $150: www.bearglass.com/RESILVERING.htmlHere's a do it yourself kit for $48: angelgilding.com/A1204B.htmlThe corvette glass that TK826 found seems like a good deal. You could also go to junkyards and find a new mirror that was at least as big as your current mirror, and then buy-it, grind the housing away to get to the mirror (so that you didn't pull the mirror from the housing and have the glue take the reflective coating with it), and then cutdown and install in your housing. your friend in seeing in the day and at night, arthur

As of right now I'm still waiting on a quote to have it re-silvered from the local shop. I'm also waiting to hear back from Brads NOS parts. That's where I got the original mirror from. Looking in my catalog, it seems the mirror piece itself (be it for a wagon or a sedan) is either 3695892 or 3695128. Brads has a 3695892 on hand, so I contacted them about condition and price. Those are my two immediate options at the moment. If they want more than 100 dollars for either of them, I'm most likely going to look elsewhere, or just suck up the "stains" for the time being...

Looking in my catalog, it seems the mirror piece itself (be it for a wagon or a sedan) is either 3695892 or 3695128. Hi Legendary: My catalog shows that a: 3695892 is a stick-to-the-window mirror for non-station wagons. 3861581 is a stick-to-the-window mirror for non-station wagons. 3695128 is a ceiling mount mirror for station wagons. And this corresponds with my part number info for ceiling mount mirrors that I stored in the other thread. At least that's my interpretation of the catalog. Does your 74 catalog page for 23-21-8 look different than mine? Here's mine: (station wagons, body style 45 and 46, are the two rightmost columns) Brad might have a 3695892, and it might be inexpensive and in good condition. But before buying please be sure that it's a ceiling mount mirror if that's what you're expecting. your friend in digging through the parts catalogs, arthur

My parts catalog looks the same there. But if you look at the picture that corresponds 23-21-8, it's the mirror itself. Just below that is 23-21-14, which would be the various mounts (ceiling or windshield). So what I'm hoping is that 3695892 and 3695128 are interchangeable, because it's just the mirror itself and the housing, not the post and mounting hardware.

Just below that is 23-21-14, which would be the various mounts (ceiling or windshield). Hi Legendary: 23-21-14 is the ceiling mount bracket and shaft, and it's only for station wagons: Notice that the last row, the PDC only shows entries in the 45/46 column. This means that only monacos that were station wagons had a bracket and shaft. Here's the pic that also shows that only station wagons had the shaft: I'm not trying to be a downer, but I can't see any way that a 3695892 will mount to a shaft. It is designed to mount to the windshield, and the attachment mechanism is completely different. Keep us posted what you find out; I'm sure you'll find something that works. thanks, arthur

Based on the pictures you just posted. I was hoping that the windshield mount and ceiling mount mirrors themselves were the same, and they both attached to their prospective mounts via a hex screw (6030 349). And even if I got a windshield mount mirror, I could simply swap out the mirrors by removing said screw...

Does anyone have a spare interior rear view mirror for sale? A movie correct one would be great but a screen mounted one will do, however I will also need the metal mounting pad too. Thanks chaps!!

I need a rear view mirror for my Monaco project, has the ceiling mounted movie mirror been identified on here? If so, what is it from? It seems most ceiling mounted Mopar mirrors have the recessions for the sun visor tips to lock into. Thanks
