My wiper quit working in a thunderstorm. It was the plastic bushing connecting the wiper motor to the linkage. Where can I get one or does anyone have some spares.
I am driving 400 miles to VA in a couple of weeks.
thanks

Scat, have you (or anyone) ever tried this product? It's from the 'Mer' family ... gotta be good, right?!! I almost bought some once when my wipers completely failed, but instead I just removed one of the blades, kept it on my lap and reached out while driving and wiped the window myself. I've lost track how many times my mechanic has shaken his head at me. I've known him all my life so there's been a lot of head shakes. lol ;D

I had to change those plastic wiper bushings on my 77 Monaco about 5 yrs ago. Actually got them through a local Dodge dealer who had a guy that could hunt down the old parts. Think he is gone from there now and most dealers would these days just say NO. Remember it was a job that was hard on the back and knuckles ! Good luck !!

We were able to find these at a local auto parts store last year (NAPA, I believe)... they had a bag of aftermarket bushings of assorted sizes of the things on the knickknack racks and found the ones we needed.

You can buy those bushings from any Dodge dealer. They are still in use, and run about five bucks each. I had to replace both in my '75 Plymouth Gran Fury Custom. Good Luck! Fritz

ChiTown and scat, the parts should be at your door any day now.I got a bag full off Ebay.I'm not sure of the price, but it definately was cheaper than $5 a bushing.
