My '75 copmobile doesn't have a cover, and instead of Phillips head screws, I have 3 hex head screws The whole concept of having a phillips head screw that big seems weird to me. The only reason I can see to have a phillips head instead of a hex-head is that someone probably thought it looked prettier. So let's say that for the 74 Monaco debut, the screws were exposed, so Ma Mopar made them pretty phillip heads. And then later, Ma Mopar decided to place a cover over the screws, to improve the lines of the car, and they could therefore replace the pretty phillip heads with standard hex head screws. Maybe 75+ all came with hex-head screws and a cover, and your 75 originally came with a cover and has been lost over time. Or it was supposed to come with a cover, but it wasn't installed on the assembly line. Legendary, when you remove your cover, can you take a pic of the screws, and we can see if they're phillips head or hex-head? In related news, this pic from www.bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=police&thread=1248&post=8818seems to show a 74 ISP with a fender screw cover. So maybe they started installing these covers during the 74 model year and didn't wait for the 74/75 model year split.
