Almost finished with "blues" conversion, sent some pics to Steam to see if he can post for me. I need help....I have a mystery 8 gauge hot wire near voltage regulator on passenger side inner fender...can someone please post a pic or two showing close-ups of their voltage regulator and associated wiring? My alternator output wire and field and grounds are connected. I am thinking there must have been a junction block or something...can't remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated-Bluzman

No rear defrost.....I am at a total loss to what it goes too. The lead is too short to go anywhere. I don't have another 74 to compare it too.

Spanks, Does your alternator output lug have two wires mounted to it? I only have one main battery wire, but then a field and ground wire. But I also have a 1976 wire harness.

Figured it out.....missing a junction block. I went and bought one from a local truck supply shop. She is now charging like she's supposed to. Thanks for the pics gents! Evidently this 74 had a 2 piece supply wire from the alt to the main harness. I tossed out the pass side inner fender by accident without removing the junction block.
