Great lookin car and a good foundation for a project. True, but $4500 is kinda steep for the amount of work/parts that are needed. We've seen nice runners go for much less.

Really, You have a rust free Ca car that has 85% of the body work done! How is that kinda steep? And it is a real package car as well. You can find your clone cars all day long, good luck. I wasn't necessarally commenting on price. 74furypursuit really did not elaborate on what was included with the car in term of drivetrain, interior, or misc components like wiper and hvac components. I would need to know everything included before could comment on price. This car may also be better suited for somebody doing a cop car restoration and not necessarilly a Blumo, although I think it would be a great Blumo. It is my opinion that the interior is the most valuable parts of these cars. I know I have $3000+ invested into components to make a good rust free roller before bodywork started. That is for basically 2 cars neither of which is a true cop car. And I still need some interior, I am trying NOT to buy another car to get the interior parts I need. You are correct drivers can be had for less, but they are getting hard to find. It all depends on what you want. A civi car with a 360 and green interior, sure give it a quick paint job and off you go to have fun and represent the blues. Others may prefer to have a 440, 9.25 rear end, screen accurate interior, Craig 8 track........ That starts to cost some cash.

I think this isn't expensive at all when you count the work time you'll save not having to do the body stuff, but still it requires a donor car(or lots of parts waiting in storage). edit. and depending on what comes with it-like engine, trans and such. I think the vin-code based pricing hasn't reached these "unwanted" c-bodies yet though.

I'm just being realistic. We've seen plenty of mint condition, low mileage cars pop up that damn near couldn't be given away at times. You're in the business, what would it take to turn that bad boy into a BluMo or restored/replica cop car?

You and I are on two different platoes. As you can see I have retoring these cars since 1980. Have alot of contacts over the years buying and collecting parts, builing up my knoledge on these cars. Would say I know pretty much everything on a 74 C- body cop cars. As everyone knowns body work is real pricy if you want it done right. If you would like specific answers to questions about my vehicle I will answer them on a one on one basis. Really did not care for the "Steep" comment when that should of been addrerssed in a private message to me direct. Things you post and buy could be deemed as "steep". I am here to help restore and share my knolegde on the 74 monaco/fury police cars. This is a great site and I have made sveral new friends here. So lets move forward! This car would be a great deal for someone with a rust bucket northeast police Monaco that is complete or as 74furypursuit told me when I inquired about the car, he knows people with all of the parts needed and he can be hired for an extremely reasonable fee to assemble the car. Great deal considering how few real '74 Monaco police package cars are turning up lately.
