Very cool. I didn't see the show either but she is the daughter of prop master Michael Milgrom, who passed away in 2004. In case the video doesn't play for anyone she's looking to sell two pairs of Jake's sunglasses ... ... and two watches. One of Elwood's and one of Jake's.

Those will go down in history as the most expensive broken watches .

She actually got what I thought was a nice deal.. I caught this thread last night at 11:52pm, just in time to see the re-run. She wanted $15k for the whole lot... money was to go to her new born. Guy made a deal with her, $10k for everything minus one pair of sunglasses to give to the baby when they get older. I thought that was cool!
Thanks spanks!!!

Guy made a deal with her... Ohh, so they're already sold. The Monaco Museum of Amazement misses out on another find. First the Toy'r'Us sign from the mall, then the blumo reference model, then a 200kph speedo, and now these. I better get busy or nobody will want to come to the MMoA. Here's a pic from the video clip: It looks like the watch on the left is this watch: But I think I can still hold out hope that I'll find Elwood's other watch. It looks like the "final offer" watch was the watch Dan wore when he played Elwood. Look at these two shots from the mall: I think that first shot is a watch other than Dan's watch, and the horn-honk Elwood was an actor other than Dan. Here is my reason for thinking it's not Dan: 1) this guy is wearing his watch different than Dan wore it (spun around the wrist 180 degrees). I can't see the face on top, and it looks like the band gets wider at the bottom. 2) there's nobody in the passenger seat (comparing shots, it looks like there would be some image of the passenger in the background). 3) this is a different camera angle/position than the other interior shots in the mall. 4) it doesn't show Dan. The only reason I can see that they didn't use the same camera angle showing the same guy wearing the same watch in the same watch position is that it's not Dan. And reasons for thinking its not the same watch: 1) It looks like the band might be silver, while Dan's watch has a gold band. 2) It looks like the band might have a clasp, while Dan's watch didn't have a clasp. I'd think if it was Dan, he'd be wearing his Elwood watch in the usual way, so this makes me think it's not Dan, and not Dan's watch. your friend in keeping the MMoA dream alive, arthur

I don't think this television show is airing on Discovery Canada. I can't find any listings for it. She also had a poster. Did anyone catch what the back story was on that?

I kept waiting for this: Didn't John Landis say that the toaster scene was his favorite? A toaster would be very helpful for luncheons at the MMoA.

They actually didn't say anything about the poster... Just the watches, and glasses.. I think it was just there to show what the glasses/watches were all about.. But it could of been from the movie, as the whole lot was advertised as bluesbrothers screen used items...

Thanks, TK! I've never seen that show before; that was good watching. Steam: They never talked about the toaster at Ray's. Or the poster.

Here's a pic from the video clip: So, any idea what brand watch the one on the left is? I had no luck in my search on the vintage wristwatch site earlier...these pics are really nice for reference... Rob

It looks like Curtis has a watch similar to Elwood's, only with a thick red bezel, and the pushbutton in the middle side:
last pic from dvd-full-screen format, as blu-ray wide-screen chops off the watch detail.
