Thanks for the update, Legendary. I thank you, and the MMoA thanks you. I received the box, but I hadn't opened it yet.
Blusmbl's is a 171.29240500 And this one is a 171.29240501 – 2316
It will be interesting to see if there are any externally visible differences, and if any narrow down what Elwood had.
your friend in matching movie props, arthur

The "GE Wildcat" is another vintage, suitcase style/side speaker turntable. There are a few different versions: Yes indeed, and there seems to be choices of Wildcats still around at fair prices. The Sears portable phonographs look to be the rarer item. Here's a "GE General Wildcat" which needs a dye job and some TLC but it powers up and apparently spins so for the Buy It Now of $85 this one seems to be one of the better bargains at the moment. And it can also play at 78rpm ! - www.ebay.com/itm/203787867310--- This is one of TK's screencaps from an earlier post where we can clearly see the record playing is "Saturday Night Fish Fry" !

"It was rockin', it was rockin' You never seen such scufflin' And shufflin' 'til the break of dawn. It was rockin', it was rockin' You never seen such scufflin' And shufflin' 'til the break of dawn."
"Give me one of them, their fish sandwiches!" "Get away from there, boy, yowza!"
