There is one switch for 74 Monacos, and another switch part number for 75-77 Monacos. If I remember correctly, the 75+ switch itself has some extra connections on it, so it won't plug into a 74 harness. Maybe those added prongs were for hideaway headlight features on the Royal Monaco, and they wanted the same switch to be used on the standard non-hideaway headlight Monaco (so they updated the non-hideaway headlight wiring harness to use the new switch even though it didn't add any features). It would be interesting to check the wiring diagram and see exactly what those extra prongs were for. > It says at rockauto that DS146 is for 74 applications, but in 75 it changes > to a different part number. Is this true? bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=maintenance&thread=611&post=3594> I notice that the headlight switch was different between 74 and 76.
